Eighteen 5,430
so i was watching lily allen interviews and came across this song and i thought that it was so clever (it's old but i haven't heard it until quite recently). thoughts? edit: thought it was funny too. laughed out loud a couple times
Tumblr 1,846
She's a clever a lyricist in general but this song is so great it's still so fresh today, even the messege she's trying to convey would work (even more-so) in today's society. that whole album is so amazing and incredibly underrated Mariah - Ariana - Rihanna

katykatt 566
it's grate and i really like her first album. This song brings back so many memories. Those comparisons with Katy in 2008-2009... and their feuds...
hELXIG 43,077
Lily is a very smart and underrated artist! I always liked her music. I didn't hear much after Sheezus though. She used to get a lot of airtime here in NZ up until like 2010. I'd like to hear her on the radio regularly again. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. ''It all began in 2008 when Katy Perry jokingly described herself as a ‘skinnier version of Lily Allen’. Lily responded by announcing on the radio: ‘I happen to know for a fact that she was an American version of me. She was signed by my label in America as, “We need to find something controversial and kooky like Lily Allen.” It’s like, you’re not English and you don’t write your own songs, shut up!’ Katy then apologised in an interview, but Lily posted on her Facebook page saying: ‘I have Katy Perry’s number, someone did me a favour. I’m just waiting for her to open her mouth one more time then it hits Facebook.’ Katy wisely kept her mouth shut.''
Bebe 17,094
I've actually been listening to Lily a lot lately. I've been listening to 'Who'd Have Known' There is this really clear tension as the first verse progresses and it's so great. You kinda know where it is leading, but there is an awkward sort of "is something going to happen? Is it not? Is she going to make a move? Is he?" going on. It switches between hot and cold and ends in the perfect place. She is a brilliant songwriter, I love her so much
