Disclaimer, I'm neither of these things, so I'm just saying what I've been told. Androgynous is not necessarily a gender identity, though its part of the entire package of gender. It's primarily an adjective used to describe someone that has both male and female characteristics. This can be referring to their gender identity, or it may be part of their gender expression (the latter is more common amongst MANY non binary and trans gendered people; its just an indicator) Bigender is specifically a gender identity. It just means that someone experiences two genders (either simultaneously or alternating). This does not necessarily need to be a strong distinct "man" and "woman", it could be "partly feminine, partly neither" for example. Ofc, if you don't think non-binary identities exist, the latter is more controversial than the former If anything though, this highlights that gender is not sex. You can not look at someone and immediately know their gender. You do know that transitioning doesn't always begin with hormones or surgeries right? I couldn't care less If my kid wants to wear dresses or jeans: it's it's body and it's not harming anyone. In the other hand hormones and medical intercention sterilizes you and is often irreversible.
