The REAL meaning of MR/PI Videos

I think PI represents the music industry which is why her staff comes back to return her to the set.

The point of MR is that she is trying to think of a reason to stay in the industry, after all the criticism. After all, the Joanne MV's are connected, and they are autobiographical. So gaga returns to the industry, and maybe the Apple Music backdrop is a symbol of how she's once again being used to make money, representing a company for their profits, etc. She sings in very simple clothes, and in the video its almost like she's filming an ad. Maybe she purposefully used the apple music backdrop to create a metaphor that the industry is using her as a symbol to make money. If she went with another concept, like the field of grass, the story would be different.  

So there it is, while many including me are kinda dissapointed by the Million Reasons video, I think that she knows she could do much better but it just wouldnt fit the narrative she's trying to tell.

Really nice theory. That's what I've been thinking for much of it, but I don't think that the Apple commercial backdrop itself is suppose to symbolize anything. 

Then again, we'll see how this turns out as she releases more videos.

Yeah. But IMO she could have used any backdrop, but she decided to reuse the apple one so it just kind of made sense to me

Wouldn't she have agreed to this and benefited from it? It's not like Apple can force her to promote their brand, it's also her and her team's decision and her brand is also promoted in part by Apple, not just the one way

hmmm, maybe it's not about "being used to make money" but more like she has to continue to work even if she's not feeling well and she doesn't want to show it. And she sings Million Reasons on set to express how she feels.

Interesting theory. I wonder where the story will go from here. I LOVE the Perfect Illusion video and I know the A-YO video is gonna be really fun. MR is just one video at the end of the day. Not every video has to be Thriller!
