My biggest critique for Gaga is to NOT BE AFRAID OF BEING BASIC. The album tries too hard to be unique although it fails to do so. Albums like The Fame and TFM, however, albums that were using the most popular trends and beats of their times, were incredibly successful, musically, critically and commercially. She did good trying to be different with BTW, but that's about it. AP was tragic and Joanne, although I like it, was underwhelming compared to what she can do. She shouldn't be afraid to have some modern, current sounds. I could totally see a tropical house Dancing In Circles that could have been a massive hit. Also, she should drop the pretense and just admit to making mindless bops with hidden, simple, meanings like she did with TF/M. She doesn't need to elaborate on her aunt's pain or how it's a reverse Warholian experience. She's much much less pretentious than she was in AP but she still is Thoughts? If the album is about her aunt and her family, what do they want her to say it's about? Sex? If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.
