I mean, yeah, Gaga is definitely not the same person she was in 2010. She has experienced a lot in her Fame that I think grounded her from the mental state that allowed her to be the bigger than life superstar that you all fell in love with. 

Doesnt mean she's gonna stop doing music though.

The most toxic thing about Gaga's musical career right now is her fanbase. She's just trying to make music. The best thing for everyone involved is to stop paying attention if you don't like it. I watched the video... I thought it was cringey... so I'm probably not gonna watch it again. I am not, however, going to type an essay about how Gaga sucks and it's her own fault. It's so counterproductive.

I agree with some things you said, except I like Joanne (the album). But she is alienated for sure, she lost track of reality and with what she once was. 

If you want to make a personal video, then do it like Marry The Night - with art. Because, that's what you are "an artist" - some people like to say "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND; SHE IS HEARTBROKEN", but isn't a artists job to convey an idea with ART? 

The Million Reasons video is poorly edited and that's just lazy. But she surrounds herself with people who only like the things she is doing. Her bad. No growth.

 

Exactly. It's the job of the fans to not stand this ****. The MR video was the final nail in the coffin for me. As fans we FUND her career and she is very lucky to be rich and have a career as a singer. My mother cleans **** for a living. Is it so bad to want better for an artist you believe in?

Her song-writing's improved, her vocals improved, her performance abilities improved, she's finally comfortable and personable in interviews, her songs are no longer over-produced, the air of pretension surrounding her music is now absent, and her brand is (for the first time since her first ever single) inclusive, relatable, consistent and likable. But tell me again how you're no longer a fan because of one emotionally poignant video and a pink hat

Didn't her label choose PI as the first single though? 
Gaga has always been about doing what she wants to do and expressng her art the way she wants to do it. I think she cares about her success, meaning she's thrilled and happy if Joanne is doing well on the charts. However, I think that if that isn't the case, she's not going to be too sad about it. I doubt that she has this stripped back look only because she wants the public to like her. It's just what she wants to do. She has done a lot of emotional healing, she's a different person, you can't expect her to stay the same. This is the same woman who released a jazz album because she WANTED to, not because she thought it would be radio friendly. I personally love seeing her change, it's a wonderful journey I'm glad to be a part of. 
Also, maybe some people just genuinely like the MR video. Not everyone automatically thinks it's sh*t

Do you think they had much of a choice with what she offered with Joanne? She most likely had a say to picking the single. It's an awful song for commerciality. So many of my friends who were interested in new Gaga music was disappointed with that song.
