I remember very explicitly, Katy was releasing E.T. and radios ignored her and refused to spin her cause they wanted Last Friday Night before E.T., and she was legit flopping. But then her manager implicitly said he'll work on it with the record label, and what happened? E.T. was one of the five #1s from her Teenage Dream album. Hopefully I am proven wrong though. MR doesn't only resonate with usual generic-listening pop fans, it resonates with all ages and all genres. Hopefully radio picks it and we'll get to have +1M updates someday.
