Edonis 28,950
I will say, I don't understand why Gaga or her team seem to try and push the "country" vibes on this album through the visuals and fashion when the country influence is only seen on a handful of songs. That's my gripe when it comes to promoting A-YO as the next single. I personally don't want to constantly see the fringe and hats and cowboy boots. It's forced at times and seems to resonate with fans and GP to write off the music which gives an unfair impression of the album. A-YO in itself is a southern rock/funk pop song, which is very very different from country but I dunno. I love the song too so I'm very conflicted. It does irk me a bit but oh well I guess. A-YO is southern rock which is a once subgroup of country but instead focuses on instrumentals more than vocals. Half of A-YO is Mark playing so that in of itself is helps solidify the southern pop rock sound. The funk influence in the beats as well as Bloodpop's yells are another example of its multi genre. Personally if I were doing visuals associated with the song, leather jackets, blazers, cigarettes, guitars, etc. should be more of the focus as opposed to the fringe/cowgirl boot/extra emphasis on twang in her voice when she performs the song live (this was mostly during the Nashville performance - I'm assuming due to location. But the song is hardly country. The only song that is fully an act of country crossover would be Sinner's Prayer, but even that is more in line with the works of Johnny Cash as opposed to traditional country artists. Visuals play a huge impact in how people see a song and interpret the meaning and overall essence of the work. I don't like the misrepresentation the album is getting at this point as her country crossover/appeal to red states trend that's starting to saturate articles about her and even spread into the fandom. And a lot of that is carried by her looks this era.

Your view of a bully is completely off and it does no one any good. you said i had a wrong interpretation of a post but you are completely misinterpretting mines. I was joking with this "victim" (youre the one who has labeled them a victim), and its not my fault that they cant handle a simple comment. Geez, im like so floored with this. and also, they were not trying to make them more happy. they literallly said that him putting his hope of happiness in a music video was "sad" that makes him feel like he is a "sad" person for having his outlet. and i went to their defense to simply say that not everyone has the ability to find joy in everything. that is not bad I EVEN put a happy face to make the person who read it find the lightness in my post. and then they got all insulted. I honestly lost respect for you lol. im sorry, unless you feel offended by that, and at that point i retract it if you do. if anything the victim should honestly be told to relax and not be so defensive. Lol this is soo ridiculous like i cant lololololololol. how sad... and also, you guys gave me a soft warning and it said that i should treat people kindly even when they arent being kind... I DIDNT SAY ANYTHING MEAN. how ridiculous. i mean i dont care about the warning, its just that i didnt do anything at all offensive. people on here say the worst things sometimes and I never ever respond as hateful at alll . and you all literally let them slide. i honestly lost respect lol big time. im just glad there are people here who dont feel attacked at the ridiculous things you called an attack. please dont misuse the word bully again, youre really being ignorant and give me more warning points I D C sad. Look it up then lol Im just giving my opinion as a native to Houston, Texas so maybe my ideas of country music are different from others since I've had it around me all of my life. But for most music experts the album isn't really country and neither are many of the songs. Even Hillary Lindsay and Mark shot that down during the radio interview they did a few months back; rather, Joanne is more a celebration of the classic Americana sound that was pretty popular back when Joanne was still alive
