but a slow song doesn't mean that the video needs to be boring as hell.  Hello had a great video.

I found Hellos video more boring tbh

I really think the issue is with the directing. All of the elements and scenes (desert, backstage, apple ad set) could have worked together, but the final product just feels clunky. Some shots feel really amateur and out of place. Like the shot where she turns around in the pink suit, and then it plays it again but closer up. I just don't get it

Fans cry about everything. A song like Million Reasons can't have choreography or over the top scenes that come up as ridiculous sometimes. People need to understand that Gaga is not doing another Bad Romance or Born This Way, or even another Marry The Night. She will change with every thing she does. The first time that they got disappointed (Myself included) by a music video was when The Edge of Glory was released and WE KNOW it was not the original plan she had for it.

Things have changed and she released this music video, a continuation of Perfect Illusion, which is another not so over the top video that people complained about because it was different to what we're used to. Gaga has said that she's probably doing mini films for some of the songs on the album and we should just wait to see what that looks like. The entire album is a change for her, the sound, the atmosphere, the clothes, etc. and people should be used to that by now.

Sorry to say this but if people keep waiting for another Bad Romance, they will get disappointed. You better make your mind that she's never going to do that again.

It's a damn music video lol it must deliver and have substance period. You can make slow vid with no plot and still create something interesting. She's an artist I don't care about her storytelling

Artistry is usually some form of storytelling....

I don't like the video itself, but I like it for opening my eyes about how bad Gaga is feeling right now.

I swear... it breaks my heart to see her so down. Her wanting to quit music makes sense now, and everything she's been talking about for the last few years including her depression.

I repeat myself: I don't like the video at all, but it made me love her even more.

I think fans should stop expecting too much from her anymore, not because she is not worthy, but because she just can't fake anymore like she did with ARTPOP.

We can feel lucky she is still making music and filming some 'music videos' for us.

I'm sorry but I can't. I want to but it does nothing for me. It's not artistic, it's not moving, and it's old footage scrapped together. It's a slap in the face to everything she's worked so hard for throughout her career.

I thought about that but still hate it. Look at how far apart ep 1 and 2 are for making Joanne! Look at how long she's made us wait for paparazzi part 3! Will we ever know the end of this Joanne story she plans to tell?

I don't really get the tantrums people are apparently having over the video. Like other people have said before here, it does seem like a piece of a larger work. I do think the video conveys the message of the song and there are some cool things that I like about the video, but I do also feel that the video was underwhelming and doesn't serve the raw emotion of the song well enough. I think there are some really awesome approaches she could have taken with the video that would work better, but that's just my opinion and am able to recognize it as so.

One thing many of us seem to be forgetting is that Gaga is working on building a lasting body of work. She's taking some huge artistic steps, and to me this era is the first one where she is carrying herself like a TRUE musical legend. Watching her performances I see a kind of fire and confidence that I haven't seen from her yet. It's awesome.

Besides, people often are not open to new things given to them by their artists. Bob Dylan went electric and people rioted. Bowie killed Ziggy and went soul and people freaked out. The Beatles chronicled massive strides in their sound and style in the records made in the latter half of their career as a band. Miley Cyrus made her highly publicized and loud jump from Disney teen idol to the sledgehammer-licking psychedelic Dead Petz creature that she now is. Do you see a trend happening here? Much of Gaga's reputation is built on her ability to change and reinvent herself, so why is it so traumatic for some people to witness these big changes? It may come down to personal tastes but when those personal tastes aren't catered to that doesn't automatically mean that something she does is "bad." And I'm not even talking about the music video anymore but this entire era.
