The Trilogy Tells Gaga's Story

I thought Marry the Night did that.  With a weird cool opening.  Bizarre segments of Gaga breaking down that kept your eyes glued to the screen.  The beautiful Trans Am.  She's actually a great director.

There's no trilogy

She literally said that the next video will be the continuation to the MR video and that will be the continuation to the next one. It tells a story

Haven't seen that, thanks. But either way it's only a trilogy if it's three videos and she implied there's gonna be more I guess?

First of all I'd like to begin with a brief analysis, probably obvious, of the Million Reasons MV, I didn't know where to post it so here we goooooo! At the beginning of the video, she's in the desert, right after Perfect Illusions, i.e. right after having realized that "it wasn't love", leading to a devastated Gaga. Her staff comes to get her and then she gets ready for a show, in black and white as a reflect of her state of mind as she was really saddened by her realization, by the illusion she experienced. The scenes in color when she plays the guitar represent in my opinion the fact that Gaga uses music to get better and/or the fact that she pretends when she is on stage because I think it might represent these moments (these scenes start with a camera frame).

It is also possible to see that Gaga's not alone, several individuals surround her (staff, family, maybe even fans), they came to rescue her and they're here now and she opens the present she was offered, by her true "sis" Natali I guess, and takes the rosary, as a religious and spiritual allusion to the lyrics of the song : "I bow down to pray [...] Lord, show me the way" so here, Gaga is helped by her family and by God as we all know she's religious and God contributed (and still does) to help her through challenging times. So Perfect Illusion was about Gaga finding out that she got deceived and Million Reasons, as a sequel, is about Gaga suffering from that and trying to get over that through her entourage, through religion and through music.

I won't lie : I didn't expect much from this music video and I am also disappointed anyway like most of you fellow monsters but this obvious analysis (or at least my interpretation idk) really emphasizes the important and personal aspect of this video and I think we souldn't be so hard on Gaga, once again it is disappointing and she used to provide us with iconic and artistic music videos but she's still Gaga, we still love her we still love Joanne and she's been through so much that we just shouldn't - we just can't - be so hard on her. Her fans tend to be so ruthless, I can't even fathom the possibility of hurting our supposed idol, it just doesn't make sense. You are right to dislike the video and to give your opinion but just be respectful and tactful. She won't always disappoint. Everything is not negative and Gaga will keep on taking us on new adventures. I think I said everything I wanted to say, I hope I didn't forget anything and I hope it was clear and I don't mean to put up a fight or something, just wanted to find positivity and to make things better!

Concerning this very topic and following my previous analysis, I think it'd be coherent to have John Wayne as 3rd single as PI was about realizing, MR about suffering and coping, John Wayne could be about getting over, acceptance and about the quest of novelty and of another man ("I crave a real wild man") since PI was likely to be about Taylor (or also about the music industry as some others might have said but it doesn't change much, it's all linked!)

Enough of her stories. Personal stories doesn't mean creative ones.
