It's probably what was intended. This is her first released ballad she could have gone epic yet stunningly simple for this. I do. it doesn't feel like she feels that way anymore. I really hope through all this she finds herself and her inner peace. She can't please her fans without shunning the public and please the public without shunning her fans. Its just one giant mess. Hopefully she finds that perfect balance for the next era. Gaga's emotions, for the most part, felt contrived as did some scenes, or boring. The video didn't transport me. When I watch Ride by Lana Del Rey, which by the way is an Americana song, I feel her loneliness, her youth, her carefree spirit and joy, her sadness, her longing. It takes me on a ride (no pun intended) watching that video. It feels so real watching it and all the emotions you see in her I feel watching it. Gaga just missed the mark on this video. I just can't help but feel she massively missed the mark with this video. The only thing that I can say to justify it is that perfect illusion and Million Reasons both hadn't really a coherent/clear story so hopefully the videos all tie everything together in the end. It feels more like a Gagavision than anything. But even with Gagavision you saw real emotion. With this, it's just bad acting (intentional or otherwise). I'm always gonna be a fan of Gaga's but her team needs a shake up. Her team talks about Gaga's bravery but I'm not quite sure what she's being so brave about. There must be some bigger underlying issue that her team knows about that we don't yet know about. I don't feel compelled to watch the video. For me, it wasn't emotionally profound and there was nothing relatable in it. I dunno just my thoughts.
