People saying this is beutiful and a good work with stupid excuses feels like I'm reading her team work and creative director saying yes to everything she thinks or does.

No shade, but I hope she sees it, she's a strong girl. I hope it gives her a little kick up the butt, this was not creatively up to par with anything she's EVER released. She can do much, MUCH better. I could only imagine what she would say if she herself watched this video 7 years ago.

Ya know, I'm all for a stripped-back era but I agree. The edge is what makes Gaga...Gaga. Not this feigned normalcy.

This ended up feeling 200% more disingenuous than ANY of the over-the-top videos and wacky performances she used to put out.

It kills me because I know that that same Gaga is still in there screaming to get out...

I feel bad but at the same time she obviously has to be prepared for stuff like this.
Im a really easy to please stan and even i think this was crazy disappointing, and even a bit lazy.

I was thinking the same. We get it you don't like it but don't you care for her feelings at all?? She is doing this whole era for herself, I don't think that she should always cater to the fans

I mean what did y'all expect? It's an emotional downtempo about the struggles of life after all
I think it's a cute video and it connects really well with the overall message of the album. She's mentioned before how she feels disconnected due to her fame and how she's missing normal human interaction with people, so it makes perfect sense that she's trying to get back to her roots (family, friends, faith, all of which appear in the video). She just wants to find her natural self, stripped of all the negativity and burdens that fame might put on her. I like how this is very obvious from the video, without the need to use crazy symbolism and over the top imagery (I know that's what made her famous and I do love it, but it doesn't hurt to try and change a bit sometimes).
It has a nice clear message which is super coherent to the album, she looks perfect and the video fits the song, I honestly don't know what you guys were expecting.

But this makes Edge of Glory and Eh Eh look like Thriller and Express yourself and you know it

I get the message: the fans and the family. It was heartfelt. With it being a sequel to PI it really tells a lot more.

But one thing that lacks in this video I think is its creativity.

I know that we are in the Joanne era and half (or not, maybe even quarter) of the era will most likey be "simple-Joanne-Gaga-pink-hat" type of stuff.

The Perfect Illusion music video for me was very simple, BUT it had this replay value factor for me. It was chaos, it really describes the feeling of the song.

But the Million Reasons MV was just simple. It was not interesting for me, and I know what some of you are going to comment, "oh but the video is about her fans and you are complaining about it"

Here's the thing, some of us had LOW EXPECTATIONS, but with the video, that editing (the cuts from one scene to another) it felt unfinished.

This is the first time I disliked a Gaga video, it feels recycled, and for me, I wish with that message she is putting out, I wish she executed it a lot more CREATIVELY.

I will still be a fan. I promise.

I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS.

I'm letting the disappointment wear off by reminding myself why I stanned in the first place lmao

i think she's at the state of her career where she's done giving credence to tweets composed by obsessed drama queens living vicariously through her career.

goddamn people need to calm the **** down :saladga:
