But it looks like the whole album is a journey, a story. we just got chapter 6 and 7 right next to eachother I hope you are right because I'd love to finally see something visually promising from Gaga. but I highly doubt the whole continuation thing is planned ahead. Let alone all the videos. So as much as I want this to happen, this is extremely unlikely.
ryanripley 86,575
if joanne is a visual album, it'll become my fav era despite the lack of avant garde, i've wanted this since ARTPOP https://goo.gl/xMgMvJ

Florence Welch had a visual album with "How Big How Blue How Beautiful" and her videos were not done in order of the track list. Gaga could potentially do something similar, though I doubt it. Time will tell! Very unlikely tbh. If it was a visual album she /interscope will announce it. There is a category at VMAs for visual albums. After all the big visual albums releases this year (Beyoncé, Justin Bieber etc.), i don't see anyone releasing a new visual album in the near future (maybe KP or Taylor idk) if it was planned as a visual album, she is likely to win another VMA in 2017. sillynate 6,170
I could see her doing what Beyoncé did for B'Day. Release singles w/ videos then once the era is almost over, film and release videos for the rest of the album

ARTPOP had the potential to be, but since the app failed, the album was only "good" and the "video for each song" never happened, it wasn't avant-garde. It was supposed to the the concept-album to rule them all, to set the trend, but it "failed", leaving its "first" place to others *ahem*.

LilMonst3r 5,448
I dont think it ever will be a visual album. Im just hoping Gaga does release one though. If Gaga did that i gaurantee she would sell 1 mil in one week or in the first month. Having images already set in place for her music like beyonce has been doing. A certain song might not be everybpdies favorite but the visuals on the album make people come back.

Avant-Garde as in ahead-of-the-trend ideas If ARTPOP was a visual album, the app were a success and the strategy they had wasn't a huge mess, it would've gone a lot better. And because she didn't do one, Beyonce came in and did a visual album with a surprise release strategy, that went brilliantly. As for JOANNE, I'd like for Gaga to make (and RELEASE) videos for A-Yo, John Wayne, Dancing In Circles, Diamond Heart and Joanne. Joanne's video (song) would be very personal and could show a girl playing Joanne, running away from her something, symbolic. Then the videos for A-Yo, John Wayne, Dancing In Circles and Diamond Heart would be the opposite, very fun-Gaga.
