I think that recent looks are more of a result of the influence of Europe + VS's Show + Formichetti's influence, rather than a true change (which would be a bit inconsistent).

Honestly, despite the fact that I am in no way a fan of MR and that I have been terribly disappointed in the decision to switch single, I don't think she should give up on the MR "era" so quickly:

- PI flopped hard.

-MR is a bit flopping, let's be real, not exactly 2nd single results.

-the SB is coming, and she doesn't have a hit right now.

-at the same time, there is currently basically no hype for a new Gaga single, so it's likely that any song released after these two fiascos would flop.

-pushing a third single would look somewhat desperate, and would guarantee that she'd go to the SB with no singles to promote properly.

I think that the best option would be to just release a single a couple weeks before the SB or so. She shoudl try to milk MR as much as she can, to get decent sales in time for the SB. Then, the 3rd single could probably live off of the SB hype, if they choose a good one.

"January" is not exactly a short period of time it's a whole month. I am suggesting she will probably release the single at the very end of January, which is 45/50 days from now, hence we wouldn't be transitioning at all, which is what you implied with your OP
