In Belgium the biggest radio stations finally started playing it since this week, I don't listen that often to the radio, but I heard it yesterday and this morning when I woke up...

The Fame Joanne

It's not played bc its streaming is bad. Radios probably pay attention to that the most, not the itunes charts anymore. And definitely not to those overhyped shazam charts :ladyhaha:

It is because ballads are definitely not her strong point. The only Gaga ballad I find even remotely okay is "Joanne".

She's not the it girl anymore, there's not hype around her, there's no demand for her on the radio (not that there's demand for Gaga in the first place, but still). And the song doesn't have longevity, It would get boring pretty fast.

To be completely honest, If I'd hear Million Reasons on the radio I would immediately change the station, it's not a song meant to be played over and over, in my opinion. I rarely listen to the radio and when I do, I want to listen to "fun" music, my cds are there for when I want to listen to music that is too cool for the radio. maybe that's just me.

Everyone is ignoring the fact that the song completely contrasts the rest of the stuff on the radio... of course they're not going to throw in a slow ballad alongside all the other EDM songs in the playlists, it makes no sense. Artists follow trends for a reason

If you disagree with the OP you're either delusional or biased.

And the GP loves the song or it wouldn't skyrock on iTunes everytime she performs it.

I guess "bow down to pray" and "lord show me the way" are a thing of the past (I love Million Reasons so much, I'm just saying). I wanted A-Yo as the 2nd single because I thought it would smash on the radio... but I don't know what to think anymore... I believe that after three years missing from pop Gaga is in her 'Just Dance' days again with the hope of becoming more popular again (though this time she seems she doesn't want to)...

But a ballad like Hello is?

It was such a hyped up era and no offense to Gaga but people don't even expect ballads from her so of course it's not gonna be the same as Hello

Joanne is not a radio-friendly album and that's okay. It has a more indie-pop/rock vibe to it that doesn't match the current radio trend. I almost feel like the radio has stooped so low as far as quality goes that it would be embarrassing to place a good song like Million Reasons against some of the garbage played on the radio.
