Opinions from a New Stan

First off this thread was written after seeing the one from @MiddleZone regarding their thoughts.  I wanted to do the same even if no one really cares.

In just a few days, it will be my first month being a member of this website.  It’s been such an amazing past few weeks.  I’ve always been a Gaga fan, but recently i’ve become such a stan.  I remember being 7 years old and yelling at my dad for changing the radio station from Poker Face.  I just wanted to say that this community is so amazing and I’m proud to be a part of it.  I already have my soccer mom accounts XD.  It’s been so much fun to experience all the things I’ve missed out on due to lack of access to the Internet I had previously and money to purchase her music.  The Carpool Karaoke really changed my life in that I’ve always followed her in a way but never realized how much she’s affected my life(I’ve known her for more than half of my life now).  I finally was able to listen to all her music(haven’t listened to all of Cheek to Cheek yet flop fan) and learn the choreography. I’ve learned the choreography to Scheisse, Telephone, Bad Romance, Judas, Venus, G.U.Y., Aura, and I’m working on Applause.  I’ve gotten stuck in a toilet at school while dancing to Government Hooker. I’ve done drawings of her everyday for the past week or so and will continue to do.  I will eventually post them in the Fan Art section but I wanted so share my thoughts on her her albums.

The Fame
Although it is not my favorite album, it will always hold a special piece of my heart.  I remember myself always singing and dancing to LoveGame, Just Dance, Paparazzi, and Poker Face in the car.  I had no clue who Lady Gaga was at the time I just loved all those songs.  I had no clue the songs were from the same artist.  At the time, I remember having no clue what a Poker Face was so I would change the lyrics every time.  I love listening to all the songs on the album. My favorite would have to be Paparazzi(I have the 2009 VMA performance memorized too) and least favorite would be Eh, Eh(Nothing Else I Can Say) idk it's ok.

The Fame Monster
Oh my this album is so amazing.  Again, my little self still sang along.  I remember I could never get the names right in Alejandro.  Anyways I love all the songs on this album so much this was the first album that I learned all the lyrics of.  All the songs are so amazing and I’ve spent hours upon hours analyzing her videos and songs from this album in particular.  I’m not an Illuminati person, but I believe that any good artist doesn’t put something into their art for no reasons.  It’s like in literature with use of light and dark, numbers, colors.  I sincerely want to appreciate the work she put/puts into her work so I love to analyze things and try to appreciate every little detail. My favorite is Dance in the Dark and least favorite is Teeth(it's such a good song but like the other songs though...)

Born This Way
My favorite album.  I will say it took me a few listens to realize how much I loved this album but I eventually got hooked. All the songs on this album are honestly so amazing and I couldn’t rank them even if I tried.  I will say though that I have a special soft spot for Government Hooker and Highway Unicorn.  I don't think I can choose a least favorite either idk I like them all.

ARTPOP
I loved this album the second I heard it.  Honestly, I find myself listening to ARTPOP most of the time the songs are so good.  My favorite songs on this album are Aura(my absolute favorite), Venus, and ARTPOP.  I wish I would have been around for this era to see her show and all her performances.  I’ve watched so many videos from this era on youtube and it makes me a bit sad that I wasn’t here for it.  All the songs are so catchy and just fun to listen to. Least favorite is Fashion! I guess if I had to choose.

I love this album and all the diversity in it.  The one thing I will say is most of the songs leave little to no room for interpretation or analyzing. It doesn’t make the album bad, I just love doing that and it's something that I find makes Gaga different from other artists.  I have to analyze for English all the time, so why not to my mother you know.  But back to the songs my favorites are John Wayne and Sinner’s Prayer.  I like the Work Tape better than the original.  My least favorite song is Come to Mama, sorry I can’t listen to it most of the time nope nope nope. I skip it whenever it comes on, I guess I'm usually not in the mood to hear it.

It’s been so much fun to discover everything at once and I’ve spent so much time on here this past month when I honestly should be studying(like I should be now but midterms are next week I have time LOL).  I’m just so glad that my inspiration is someone who’s such a loving, talented, and genuine person.  TIHTY changed my life when I saw it at the Oscars.  At that period of time a lot of extreme things were happening in my life including the discovery of a disability and being taken from my home.  I still cry when I hear it due to the extreme amount that one song has helped me.  I can’t wait for what the future holds and being a part of this iconic fanbase.

We are glad to have you here. GGD has its ups and downs, but at the end of the day it's a great place to escape reality and to come together with people who love and appreciate music.
