Hung Up was a global success, her most successful song chart-wise even in many countries but US radio had a ban on her already at that time because of her anti-Bush American Life album. So it never went #1 in the US. And Sorry barely charted if I remember correctly. Despite being a success elsewhere.

American album was an album purely about fame, it didn't have even one war-related song or lyric. Give me one example of political content in the songs?

And the album underperformed in each and every country in the world, regardless of the politics

that's the video.... not the lyrics..  the music itself has nothing to do with the war...

Even the album cover was inspired by the socialite/terrorist Patty Hearst, not Che Guevara as she later claimed

The miseducation is real. The entire album is about the American dream and it's stereotypes. Technically it can't have anything to do with the war because the actual war didn't start when the American Life song came out. It did when the video came out, which is why it got heavy backlash and Madonna was blacklisted. The entire album was still about the American dream however.

But you know what @androiduser. I'm not going to do this with you again. Every single time there's a Madonna thread on this website, there you are. Just please take your negativity away. It's deconstructive not only for people enjoying Madonna in this thread but for yourself.

Bye.

She barely sang. And her, shall I call it dance moves, were lame and out of place. She goes into Britney Spears Carpool Karaoke category. Next, please! :awkney:

It's just the "it was a perfect illusioooooooon" that's kinda similar to M's "keeping my baaaaaaby". But it's not a "copy" at all.

No one cares. Not even most Madonna fans. It's such a non-story.

Omg I love this. Gaga and Madonna have to squash this "beef" and collab
