Thank you for your educated and reasonable response. I have a clearer view of the situation. Also, is this Ohio ruling trying to replace the 24 weeks law? That's terrible. Maleficent 6
12 weeks would be better. I understand the fact that there are no exceptions for rape and abuse victims; anyone in that position would be monitoring and know well before 6 weeks. But at the same time I honestly do believe at a certain point abortion shouldn't be legal. What's the difference between killing a baby inside the womb when it's already almost fully developed and killing a baby after birth? Would killing it after birth be allowed as well (not after weeks or months but days or hours) if the mother thinks she wouldn't be able to support the child? For the cases of rape or incest, we should encourage women to come forward if they're pregnant and support them as much as possible till they are able to have an abortion, or have an extension to the ruling. I just genuinely find this ban reasonable. If anyone disagrees please tell me why. I need another strong perspective on this besides "their baby their choice" as that doesn't seem like a valid argument to me. EDIT: Please read what's in bold. Just because you're right doesn't give you a pass to be a complete a**hole. I want a clear, logical, and last but not least kind response that can enlighten me. And thank you. I agree with you. And its pretty ironic that the people that are pro abortion are already born. The only time I see it as okay is if the woman was raped or has a serious health risk. Pro Choice is Pro Abortion. Could you at least bother to read my post beyond the first two lines? I literally asked for another opinion because I know mine isn't enough. Please don't quote me/reply to me again, especially when you're not even putting the effort of reading my replies in the first place. Of course, I read you post and responded to it accordingly. You are talking about an almost fully developed fetus when the law bans abortions at 6 weeks. You seriously need to learn about it. Do you want me to teach you about fetus development? Okay. For size comparison Look at 6 weeks. That's what they want to ban. If you believe that 6 week abortion is murder, then you believe any abortion is murder and are anti-abortion. Liberals focus on abortion while conservatives focus on anti-abortion. I mean, shouldn't we be focusing on free birth control so women don't need to resort to an abortion? Oh wait, conservatives hate that too. When liberals defend planned parenthood, they're also doing it so women can get get birth control and men can get condoms. Liberals are all about contraception. PaperIz 7,354
Pretty against abortion unless it's rape, incest, or some dangerous situation for the baby or mother. I mean I'm pro-choice though because I can't imagine getting pregnant and being forced to have a kid, but also you should make the choice to practice safe sex, not to end a life. Most women cannot even conceive the fact of performing an abortion; it truly is one of the most difficult decisions a woman or a couple have to make. Abortion is the last thing a woman would want to do in the case of her prospective child, yet that doesn't mean the option should not be there in those instances where such a choice must be given consideration. Overall, it comes down to the woman's decision, as difficult as it may be, and for a male dominated congress to tell a woman what to do with her body is absolutely ridiculous Exactly. I got pregnant from rape at 14 and I absolutely agonized over my decision to abort. I looked into every option that was available to me. I even looked into homes for teenage moms where they provide food and shelter for teen girls who are pregnant and gotten kicked out. I was raised Catholic so abortion is wrong had been drilled into my head for years. The bond between mama and baby starts from the moment the fertilized egg implants in the mama's uterus. That was my baby. I loved that baby. After it was over, the doctor gently patted my knee and said "you'll be ok sweetheart. Now you can pretend like none of this ever happened". Pardon my French but **** you. You just suctioned a living being out of my body and you just treat it like I had the ****ing flu?!? It felt like somebody had ripped my heart out. The guilt almost drive me to suicide multiple times. My grandma eventually found out and I'll never forget the look on her face. It was just pure disappointment. I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you
