Would Gaga ever embark on anything ambitious as ARTPOP?

Hear me out sistrens,

ARTPOP imo was what she planned to be her most ambitious project. She planned to perform in space, do amazing things with the App, revolutionise fashion and music and how they interact, create a flying dress.

Basically, the whole concept of the album: Tech + Pop Music + Fashion + Art was going to be fully realised with something big for each theme. She planned to create the biggest album cycle of the decade. Something where each single, each video, each look on a red carpet would be revolutionary and be cited as inspiration for years and years to come.

Then we all know how that all went down

My question is, will she ever embark on a project as ambitious as this one? Something where she is  consciously planning to have us all shook. (except SuperBowl).

ARTPOP was going to take her to a level that no Legend can claim. Will she ever, even dare to try again?

If so, any ideas?

Nope. She ran out of money :madge:. B!tch is broke, hence her low budget on everything this new era, Joanne.

Her 1 million dollar hat (which was worn for less than a minute) begs to differ :derpga:

Hopefully not. Gaga has great ideas. Remember the visual album idea she came up with in 2012? Would have been groundbreaking for ARTPOP. Who came and did it? Beyonce.

Sadly, even though her ideas are unique and exciting, her and her team's execution of these ideas is ABYSMAL and terrible.

that flying dress was embarrassing to watch

I thought it was pretty cool tbh:diane:

However,   she sounded extremely pretentious during the unveiling, which made me cringe. But the actual dress pretty dope.

I hope not tbh

She might've wanted to do what the OP said but she DEFINITELY did not have the music to support it. She talked about how the album was gonna be a revolution in pop music and art and all and the album we got is nowhere near that experience tbh.

I'm not saying ARTPOP is a bad album. It's not and i love it but it is certainly not what she said it would be. If she didn't hype it like that and kept her mouth shut just like she did with Joanne, I would never let anyone say one bad thing about ARTPOP because we all know that that album is still superior to a lot of crappy pop albums released in this decade. Its just not THAT great like she hyped it up to be.

I'll take 1 Joanne era over 100 AP eras anyday tbh. I enjoy music much more when the artist that makes it is not constantly talking about how amazing and great it is.

I say not, ARTPOP could've been something way more than it was, but many of the songs on ARTPOP didn't even fit the theme of ARTPOP of putting art back into pop music except for Aura, ARTPOP, and Applause

If Gaga ended up theming it on something along the lines of an alter ego in the form of Mary Jane Hollands, then she would've been on to something that is more cohesive. However, that is not to say that the things Gaga did before ARTPOP went asunder weren't very ARTPOP. The artistic strides she was making beyond the music were very ARTPOP, but the music itself, not so much

If she really wanted to pull an ARTPOP, the album would have way more non-mainstream influences such as Kraftwerk and Björk melded with overtly pop influences that reminded people of Madonna, Kylie, Janet, Michael, Bowie, etc., i.e. pop music staples, while expressing modern pop tropes. But that's not how ARTPOP turned out in the end and it's a total shame because I believe, in the beginning, that was direction ARTPOP was headed but her label has the final word on what they want Gaga to do when it comes to releasing new music

The ARTPOP era:

Gaga is the weird creative kid who sits in the corner reading and drawing in high school and doesn't talk much. One day, the teacher asks a critical thinking question and she raise her hand. She answers with some completely ground-breaking analysis but then everyone in the class looks at her like :what: and even the teacher laughs at the preposterous answer. So she says "just kidding!" and says something stupid to make everyone laugh. On the inside, she's devastated.

She's been conditioned to think that her outlandish artsy ideas were pretentious and not what the public wanted to see. She put it all away and is now trying to be relatable. This is sad because we see now that a lot of what people called her pretentious for is being done by other artists years later and they're getting all the credit. I don't think we'll see a return to those lofty ideals anytime soon. Unless she's smarter than that and Joanne is just to get the GP back for the time being, then LG6 will be a return to form. *prays*
