River 127,351
I changed my mind recently about "banning".. to ban, no matter what, is bad, because instead of dealing with the subject with communication and education and trying to find compromises, you just ban something instead of dealing with what you just banned. So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

Rosalina 612
There is nothing progressive about wearing or supporting the wearing of the burqa. Regressive leftists who fetishize such an oppressive garment that has no place in liberal societies are on the wrong side of history.
KingOfSpain 10,010
Our statements are not islamophobic. We're supporting freedom for women. Ask any European citizen his/her opinion on this issue and not many will support the burka thing, specially in France and Germany. I'm not Catholic, but it's horrible how socialist and far-left parties are always against Christian symbols and the Church (which are an important part of our European roots) and at the same time they're embracing and welcoming those intolerant Muslim values. I am part of the LGBT community and I feel THREATENED by those values. KEEP IT. Sorry but Merkel has a point: 34 minutes ago, Melech said: “Showing your face is essential for our communication, co-existence and social cohesion and that's why we're asking everyone to show their faces,” he added. “We want to introduce a law to make people show their faces and that means that those who break that law will have to face the consequences.” http://gagadaily.com/forums/topic/227246-ceremony-gagas-videography-megarate/

They can't state her opinions and that's a fact. Western Europe is no land for any kind of oppresion. Sorry. 8 minutes ago, KingOfSpain said: Agreed. When European women go to some muslim countries (in Morocco, Algeria or Tunisia they don't) like Iran or Saudi Arabia they must wear the way they do. And I don't want our grounds to become a place for their intolerance. Oh, that sweet, sweet irony.

Why is it any country's decision what women should wear? Because religious leaders are mostly men that love to bring down women in any way possible, they don't believe in equality, they can rape kids and get away with it by telling the press how ''kids are provocative'', they can kill people in the name of God, divide citizens by teaching them how some people are ''against God'' (gays, tattoed people, non monogamous people, etc), telling people that almost everything they do is a sin and that we should live ashamed unless we go to church to give them money and ''repent''. Sadly, they rule masses of people and even more sadly, people follow their rules. tryna go ask Alice, tryna catch that rabbit
