I don't know what it's like where you live. But here are a lot demonstrations against actual racist people :oprah:

Demonstrations don't achieve anything. I don't see any politicians foaming with radical laws to prevent all of that mentioned, which has no place in Western society, or does it?

We all know 99% of women who wear those atrocious thing do it because her family of her husband force them to do it since they're young. They can't state her opinions and that's a fact. Western Europe is no land for any kind of oppresion. Sorry.

Your calling out specific western nations right now. Are you aware that bigotry also exists in non-western countries?

And yes our "Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution" is having eyes on far-right radical organization. In fact there been raids against Reichsbürger where even one policemen was shot.

and the other 1% probably wears it because of religious extremism. Which has as well no place in Western Europe

She just wants to unite her party. If she can get gay marriage from the CSU in return it's all okay.

Let's remember that Merkel almost lost her political career because she saw it as a necessity to accept refugees (with a million refugees in 2015 alone getting to Germany). Merkel is in no way Islamophobic nor xenophobic and her argument about social cohesion and integration is actually quite a good one I hadn't heard before (and way better than the security argument IMO).

I just think it's worded a little bit too harshly. As a chancellor it's still your job to make no one feel left out or excluded. While most muslims don't wear burqas, many do see banning burqas as an attack on 'them'.

You just had to google what headscarf means in another thread, I don't think you have any idea why individual decides to wear them.

This is a topic about Western country or not? Or do you strive to be more theocratic?

Agreed. When European women go to some muslim countries (in Morocco, Algeria or Tunisia they don't) like Iran or Saudi Arabia they must wear the way they do. And I don't want our grounds to become a place for their intolerance.

"Having eyes on" and raids are not new laws against far right and neo nazi extremism, which infringe on other people's rights.

I personally not think that it is islamophobic to ban the burqa. Even a huge percent of muslim-experts don't support the burqa. A prominent example is Ahmad Mansour in Germany.
