Texas elector to resign, thinks Trump is not 'Biblically qualified'

A Texas Republican announced over the weekend that he plans to resign his post as a member of the Electoral College rather than cast a ballot for US President-elect Donald Trump, a man he deems "not biblically qualified for office."

Citing his Christian religion and his understanding of representative democracy, Art Sisneros wrote in a blog post that he could neither vote for Mr. Trump nor break his promise to do so by voting for anyone else. Texas does not require its 38 electors to vote in accordance with the state's presidential election results, but Mr. Sisneros says he made a pledge to the Texas GOP that his vote next month in Austin would follow the will of the general public.

"The reality is Trump will be our President, no matter what my decision is," Sisneros wrote. "Since I can’t in good conscience vote for Donald Trump, and yet have sinfully made a pledge that I would, the best option I see at this time is to resign my position as an Elector."

I'm not trying to start an argument. Look at what I said, and look at what you said. I wasn't irrational. Also, I've explained what you're asking already in several multi-page topics, so I do apologize that you missed most of the things I've said since Hillary lost.

I must have missed these topics. 

However, I find it odd how someone who voted for Hillary Clinton can quickly praise a man who has completely opposite views on many issues in a matter of 3 weeks or less.

If you pay attention to the media there is a huge bias, and Trump isn't nearly as bad. That's about it in a nutshell. I'm done trying to explain that point, though, so I'm just posting how I feel without all this necessary backstory, because I WILL get attacked no matter what, so I don't bother posting explanations anymore.

Going off topic because I'm still confused, so let's say all of Texas voted for Hillary, and he and all the Texas electoral people still decided they wanted Trump, so they all vote Trump, and Trump wins, does that mean the general vote is basically useless/worthless? That's really the vibe I'm getting from this election

Basically.... they are called faithless electors of you want to do more research on it. I learned about them in my political science class.
