This is what I'm talking about. Why so serious? What is she trying to prove? It just depresses me.

she is 30, she's more mature but still funny. It would be cringe worthy if she still acted like a 20 yo girl, like some artists....

I thought you wanted Gaga to be more serious and talk and sing about depression and serious topics?

She used to make silly songs just to release??:duck: Like what, CakeLLG? What else?

She was never Katy type of a singer. Idgi.

I'm ****ing borderline. I have borderline personality disorder. I never know what I want. I just wanna see her happy man. She doesn't seem happy. I want deeper music and I got that but like she makes me wanna slit my wrists man

Let's not joke about that, please.

You don't have to continue following her. Some people don't have to be happy 24/7. Sadness is a feeling and it should be felt just as happiness should.

The people that I see as happy people (aka 24/7 smiling and cracking jokes) are usually the most depressed in life.

I'd rather show emotion than slap a smile on and be funny because it helps me get the pain out rather than keep it all in.

It's ok to be sad.

What ever happened to Gaga's sense of humor? Like she used to make silly songs just to release and never took herself too seriously. That's what the public fell in love with. It's no wonder that nobody is buying her new act. I still love her but it's almost like she has a stick up her ass because she wants to be taken seriously so badly. That's what's ruining her image.

This is an album named after her dead aunt. Many of the songs revolve around her, and her break up with the man she thought she was going to spend the rest of her life with. Silly songs wouldn't fit on this album.

Weren't you the one wanting serious songs...songs about her depression?  You got them and you are complaining about them.

I think you should look at the bigger picture.

Also, do not say that so lightheartly.

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

she does have to fake smiles and keep a happy facade though. It's so depressing, but that's the way of the game. We all do it in our jobs. But it's good she's trying to reach out and tell that it's human to be down, and it's a phase like being on top

Yes, she sadly has to, but she doesn't need to be forced to do it even more just to seem funny

Life has a hopeful undertone |-/

So, don't blame Gaga for your indecisive wants and needs. Simply find the artists that meet your needs at any particular time and listen to them. There are hundreds out there serving silly, fun songs right now.

I noticed the change in her personality as well :( I think it might have been depression or just the amount of sh*t she went through.

This is something I found in my notes app. I don't remember writing it but it hurt to read it when I found it a few months ago:

"I can't pretend to be happy anymore. I feel different. I know I've been dealing with this **** for months if not for years now, but somehow it's different today. Just yesterday the temper I used to control so well is breaking through. My head and heart feel crowded. I'm not laughing the way I used to. I'm not smiling the way I used to.I can't feel anything. I wrote about how my disgusting façade will eventually tear itself down. I just didn't think it would be this soon."

I don't really feel this way anymore though; my humour is sort of coming back so that's good I guess, and I think Gaga might go through the same thing. But only she knows.

If that particular moment doesn't prove that she doesn't take herself seriously and still has a sense of humor, I don't know what will.

I feel she was taking herself more seriously during BTW and ARTPOP.
