He's too busy on Twitter and running his cabinet picks like a reality show to pay attention to anything else. Trump needs attention like he needs air. I kinda agree with this. Not jail or loss of citizenship. Our first amendment makes burning a flag 100% legal, and it should be 100% legal. Trump can't just decide to take people's citizenship away for doing something he feels is wrong. It is wrong. It's disrespectful to anyone who has fought and died for our country. ♥. The Supreme Court, including the Conservative Justices, disagrees with you. By the way, the military actually fought for our right to do something they disagree with or find to be disrespectful. In my opinion- not necessarily. I come from a military family, and almost joined myself. I respect those who joined to defend our country, but I also directly acknowledge that the military is not a cut and dry issue. The correlation between the military, as a colonial and literally militaristic complex, with the rest of the world, and within our own country, is not perfect, and should not be put in a pedestal. To burn the American flag is a powerful political statement, not just "durr hurr I hate America". When somebody burns the American flag, or kneels during the National Anthem, or refuses to recite the Pledge of Allegiance- it's a statement acknowledging that larger systemic powers of this country is failing particular demographics of its own nation. My father joined the military from another country that the US colonized, mind you, for a United States that he taught me should be- a country of no divisiveness and no prejudice, not militaristic fascism. Looking back at my experience growing up in bases around the world, it really is scary how... uncritical many service members are. But not all of them. 3 points in and ready for more

skaxboy 7,079
Ah, just another ridiculous issue that has been solved years ago. These are the kind of statements that conservative, red-state, working class, republicans live for because they think it's so "patriotic." There are more important things to discuss tbh and he should really get to things that actually matter.

Guess they realise that tearing up sacred burial land & brutalising children including keeping them in kennels is evil not to mention the spraying of horrible chemicals nightly .... yeah that's gonna be really healthy for the people, covering them in pesticides - chemical warfare
