Lava 3,423
Before you flops freak the f*ck out, let me start by saying: Joanne is iconic, it yanked my entire weave out and I love it as much as The Fame Monster. It reached the top of the charts so it's by no mean a flop album or a bad one. This is just an opinion. BUT: I've seen a lot of people saying that Gaga's career is ending. (which it really isn't, stop overreacting). But I think if she released the original pop album she was working on before she scraped it, (I think everyone is on board with the whole 'Scraped pop record when Bowie died and did Joanne' theory), and she was dressing crazy like she always has, and the RedOne songs were out, everyone would be living for her. ARTPOP wasn't as good as the others but everyone still lived for her bc the album was pop and she was dressing more outrageous than ever. And before you comment 'she doesn't need the RedOne songs to have a hit! It doesn't matter, they won't do anything for her!' Shut the f*ck up. Bad Romance, Poker Face, Just Dance: ALL her most popular and successful songs which were produced by RedOne. They would definitely be hits and we would all love them. Fame IV 4,426
Joanne is #1 pop album. Period. Close thread. Her career is over while she's playing the Superbowl and you're at home eating nuggets. A Star is Born ⭐

REALITY 76,234
Why does everyone automatically think that the RedOne songs would have been a huge hit? We have no idea what they were doing, we don't know anything about what the concept was, what it sounded like, etc. etc. It was an artistic decision to go with Mark Ronson for this album. Stop acting like the RedOne songs would have automatically been better just because it's pop and just because it's RedOne. I swear, if she had released it, and it wasn't a huge hit, you guys would be complaining even more. 🦠🧙♀️🥀📸🎉👻🕺🧟💊💖☎️🔪👤🐺🌱🌎

Making pop music doesn't make you a puppet, having hits doesn't mean you're not an artist and pop music isn't bling. Madonna and Michael Jackson's discography are mostly pop and they are the most respected pop artists ever. They also had hits yet no one called them puppet for that.
