Donald Trump's key adviser said:

“Elton John is going to be doing our concert on the mall for inauguration,” Anthony Scaramucci, a member of the presidential transition team executive committee as well as a vice chair of the presidential inaugural committee, told BBC’s “HARDtalk.”

Having the “Rocket Man” singer perform, he continued, “shows our commitment to gay rights.”

Idk, I mean he has made it a point more than any other Republican that has ever been in office or ran for President, to include gays and their rights. I read somewhere that he has increased the positive conservation, as compared to typical Republican candidates, by 500%. I haven't verified that number but it might even be more, because he was the first to make it a point at the convention, at his rallies(which everyone seems to ignore-his rallies were full of positive statements on all kinds of people), etc. etc.

Hell, I'll take tokenism over what Ted Cruz would have done - reverse marriage equality and stall LGBT rights. Trump doesn't care at all, and he's made that clear.
