He is a genius and one of the most influential producers ever in hip-hop. He might be OTT, he might go on rants but it's like - it doesn't work both ways. People like Kanye's work because he is a transgressive, opinionated, controversial and braggadocious artist who truly works to push the boundaries in his work. At the same time though people seem to want this artist to be demure, respectful, mellow and polite outside of that space. Like, of course Kanye is a raging egomaniac - of course he goes on rants like this. Of course he is constantly getting himself in trouble for saying things he shouldn't say.
