That's an opinion and I will not tell how much of it i think is true. But I will say there are parts that I truly believe 

 

 Agree. I don't think she's stubborn though, she just likes exploring new territory. And I'm still hopeful we'll have another PF/BR hit.

Her voice is so silky, rich and smooth here. I appreciate how she shows restraint and holds back, so that when she hits those big notes they feel so much more powerful

I remember this thread. I'm not her and I don't know what she was thinking when she said "manly tears" but I think she was talking about the fact that men are told not to cry and to be "weak" by society, so it's more common to see a woman cry than a man. So "manly tears" are special because they're rare.

For the gay things I actually agree with her. A lot of gay men are more respectful to women than straight men are. (of course it doesn't apply to everyone) And very often in art, literature, cinema etc, you can see that gay men depict women in a certain way that straight men wouldn't, usually. I'm not sure AHS and its female characters would have been the same if it had been done by a straight man. I have Xavier Dolan in mind too. He and Murphy have a way to depict women, with respect and admiration but not desire. And finally gays and women are both victims of sexism and patriarchal society, so in a way gays have this kind of understanding for women.
And for the other things, I don't find them shocking, it's the kind of jokes or ironic stuff often said between gays themselves...

She said it happened with a producer when she was 19, to me it's pretty obvious that it happened during that time. There are hints at the beginning too when she's in the clinic, and some people noticed there were innuendos about abortion (this part could be a metaphor though).

I never actually thought about that but it makes sense and adds another layer to her ballerina scenes where her breasts are exposed and she desperately tries to cover herself. Initially, I thought it was just because as an artist, she was laid bare and stripped of her chance to preform, but wow

And the line "I did what every other girl would do, I did it all over again", which is parallel to Diamon Heart's "Some asshole broke me in, wrecked all my innocence--I'll just keep go-going", which pertains to her strip-dancing (go-go) AND her struggle (just keep going).
