Will KP4 help to bring the pop girls back to the forefront again?

Honestly I believe so :giggle:

2016 has been packed with releases from the girlies.

We had Rih with her own take on a new style, only one proper hit

We had Bey with a visual album with no hits

We had Ariana with glorious pop but subpar charting (sans side to side ofc)

We had Britney who released decent pop with zero hits

Gaga released a folk/country/pop manifesto with zero hits so far

KP has been quietly crafting her new music for the past two years. Is she our last saving grace to bring the pop girls back to the forefront?

We went from charts dominated by Gaga Rihanna Beyonce Britney Katy Madonna in 2008 to Chainsmokers, random DJs and one hit wonders in 2016 :nails:

Will KP bring back the interest in pop music and allow our girls to shine again?

It's sad that she remains our last hope at serving great bops and success at the same time :sharon:

Born To Slay

Ariana's era has went just fine. Dangerous Woman was actually a huge radio hit and had good sales numbers. The only reason it didn't become a bigger hit was because it's music video was boring as **** and that really hurt streaming.

Side To Side is becoming a big hit. It's expected to chart at number 4 next week, you can't ignore that.

The album is a streaming monster with over 1 billion streams on Spotify.

If anyone should do it it's Katheryn, the female MJ :lolly:

I hope not. I get tired of listening to the same popstars "slay" the year every time they release something. I'm actually glad 2016 had hits from not so popular artists/bands. Everyone deserves a chance to get a song out there, whether it's just catchy or well written. Streaming is really changing the way we listen to music and I'm glad there's at least more variety in some way.

I'm actually a little tired of listening to Bruno Mars right now because he was on the radio for like a year and a half with Uptown Funk right when he finished promoting his second album and now he's back again. It's pretty boring when the same people "dominate" the charts every time they release new music, so I really don't feel like seeing Katy Perry everywhere like she usually does.

Bette Davis

I feel like she's going to pull some wannabe "experimental" bullshit and flop with the rest of the girlies :neyde:

She did that already:

Spoiler

And yes, I know it's a promotional single.
