Try to make sure you know you don't need to go vegan overnight to prove anything to anyone, and you don't need to enter the lifestyle as if you are a druggie going sober. Try to see it as doing the best you can at the time for animals and the environment, its not a restriction, its just an alternative lifestyle. Here are several recipes I use frequently: Here is the Accidentally Vegan Food List by Peta:http://www.peta.org/living/food/accidentally-vegan/comment-page-9/?PageIndex=1 Try to have fun with it and see it as an opportunity to try new recipes and ideas, rather than a restrictive lifestyle. Good luck and thank you for being so open, its so inspiring. I noticed you in the other thread about veganism, I was gonna pm you but my cellphone went laggy. Im going vegan actually for the environment and for me. I dont feel it like a rehab, I always liked vegetables even as a kid. When I decided to go vegetarian I did it step by step, like dropping First the red meats, then the White ones and so. Anyways thanks for the advice, you're very kind Oh and thanks for the link, I was lurking on there and now ended up on ohsheglows.com . Thanks for your wishes too, I will send you pictures and personal recipes when I can.

It won't stop the factories/horror areas from producing. All in all, it makes me feel worse as not only am I giving up an entire... two maybe three food groups I love, all it means is that a whole lot more food is thrown out the grocery store at the end of the day. I don't see the point of going vegan unless the whole world is forced to do it, ya know? And I think the US will have cloned meat by the time it's a considered option. Just a little bit advice: Never use PETA. For anything. Literally nothing. Nothing. No one can take PETA seriously. The head basket in charge of PETA, has admitted to being a basket case. PETA is to be used for nothing but the butt of a joke. In moral philosophy there is a term called "collective responsibility". It basically argues that individuals can be held responsible for their contribution to aggregate harm caused by a collective of other individuals. Individuals can be held responsible for a collective harm if they acted in ways that they knew would cause harm in aggregate, if individuals were all aware that there were enough others in a similar position acting in a way that could cause collective harm and if the harm was collectively avoidable if the individuals had acted differently. It's used in a number of instances, including issues like climate change or world poverty. We also have a collective responsibility to reduce animal cruelty - you as an individual can be held collectively responsible for contributing to this aggregate harm. What you're essentially arguing is the 'no -effect view' which is that an individual has no moral duty to change their diet because that action will not have a noticeable effect on animal farming practices and such. This view ignores the aggregate damage caused by a collective of individuals acting in a similar manner. It's also true that an individual's action to change their diet actually can be morally significant because, when added to other individual efforts, it can make a great difference. Although there is uncertainty over how others will act, an individual could influence other’s beliefs and actions and encourage them to make a contribution if they make habitual changes in the way they act. An individual citizen’s actions to reduce the animal products they consume could promote collective action in others. You also touch upon an argument known as the 'overly demanding view' when you said it would make you feel worse and you have to give up food groups you love. This view is that it is too demanding to expect an individual citizen to make significant changes in their lifestyle. The sacrifice an individual is forced to make if they want to decrease animal cruelty is unreasonable because the costs of such actions to the individual is larger than the gains created by them changing their diet. While there may be instances where moral duties should be limited due to an unreasonable cost to the individual for insignificant gains, in the case of veganism the use of animal products can generally be regarded as a luxury and the gains that can be achieved through a change in diet can actually be very significant - especially when combined with the efforts of others. Individual vegans save around 198 animals a year, that's pretty significant on a personal level and when combined with the efforts of other vegans that becomes extremely significant on a societal level. There are also many benefits from going vegetarian and vegan, so often the change is low-cost to no-cost.

Morally its so wrong we kill scientient life when theres plenty of nutritional plant life and alternatives available So bad. I keep saying im gonna stop eating meat but always fail after 1 week of trying Going cold turkey isn't for everyone, it's alright to ease your way into it. Try finding a local butcher who sources his corpses locally, someone who takes pride in his work. I promise after a few years you won't miss it. 6 hours ago, AntiPotCrusader said: @Anastasia @uo111 @kevinthesheep @Bette Davis @Born To Slay @SKANK @Muumisarvinen @ThomastheMonster Help a bitch out Sorry, I think I'm tapped out. ThomastheMonster 288
It's so sad to me how people are so anti-vegan for no good reason, especially when the benefits of a plant based diet are so amazing for the planet. Not to mention your own health, or animals.
