I'm talking about the vegan thing dummy

Eat the proper amount of calories on a vegan diet and you won't lose weight, you can be overweight or even obese as a vegan if you overeat or eat too much junk food, just the same as you can on a meat and dairy diet.

This vegan topics on ggd are becoming boring, it's always the same jokes (good ones or bad ones), the same poeple trying to defend it, the same arguments, etc. Can't we just make a VEGAN THREAD or something ? :laughga:

Well, this is a vegan thread :laughga:

My iPad wallpaper was a tortured animal for the longest time, it really made me not want such products. Find the bloodiest, most disturbing picture(s) you can and put them as pictures you have to look at regularly.

I want everyone to suggest to go vegan to consider this:

"Even if I go vegan, and several other people, go vegan, what is the point?"

It won't stop the factories/horror areas from producing. All in all, it makes me feel worse as not only am I giving up an entire... two maybe three food groups I love, all it means is that a whole lot more food is thrown out the grocery store at the end of the day.

I don't see the point of going vegan unless the whole world is forced to do it, ya know?

And I think the US will have cloned meat by the time it's a considered option.

Kind of how I feel honestly

It won't make a difference if I go vegan either way, and if I had the money (which I don't, and it's too pricey to pay for to begin with with the income this household makes total on top of paying for bills, etc.) I probably would become a vegetarian or vegan of some sorts, but it's much easier to just eat meat no matter how horrible it is killing animals and such

Please read these comments from @Bebe for an incredible, intelligent and mature response.

One of my favourite quotes is by John Stuart Mill; "He who does anything because it is the custom makes no choice." You can make the choice to change your consumerism, and influence those around you by doing so. Use your own morality to make the decision to change, not what society currently deems 'normal'. If you stop demanding animal products, the industry will have to lessen their supplies, and therefore less animals will be put through such painful lives and killings. All movements started small, don't underestimate the gravity of your personal decisions.
