I'm a carnivour so no thank you This had me dying omg In all seriousness, you are thankfully an omnivore which actually is a broad term and for humans it means you certainly can survive healthfully and easily on a vegan diet. Maybe try something like meatless Mondays for fun or certain days when you are vegan or vegetarian to experiment, making small choices like this make an impact. And choosing human sausage is still vegan FATWIFE, First Lady Of GGD

The statistics are in, Veganism is necessary for sustainability. Do not say you care about the environment if you are not willing to go this route. Your open-minded and compassionate heart is incredible and makes me smile so big. Try to make sure you know you don't need to go vegan overnight to prove anything to anyone, and you don't need to enter the lifestyle as if you are a druggie going sober. Try to see it as doing the best you can at the time for animals and the environment, its not a restriction, its just an alternative lifestyle. Here are several recipes I use frequently: Here is the Accidentally Vegan Food List by Peta:http://www.peta.org/living/food/accidentally-vegan/comment-page-9/?PageIndex=1 Try to have fun with it and see it as an opportunity to try new recipes and ideas, rather than a restrictive lifestyle. Good luck and thank you for being so open, its so inspiring. FATWIFE, First Lady Of GGD

Florian 20,017
This vegan topics on ggd are becoming boring, it's always the same jokes (good ones or bad ones), the same poeple trying to defend it, the same arguments, etc. Can't we just make a VEGAN THREAD or something ? Seeka 12,372
I want everyone to suggest to go vegan to consider this: "Even if I go vegan, and several other people, go vegan, what is the point?" It won't stop the factories/horror areas from producing. All in all, it makes me feel worse as not only am I giving up an entire... two maybe three food groups I love, all it means is that a whole lot more food is thrown out the grocery store at the end of the day. I don't see the point of going vegan unless the whole world is forced to do it, ya know? And I think the US will have cloned meat by the time it's a considered option. 4 minutes ago, Anastasia said: Just a little bit advice: Never use PETA. For anything. Literally nothing. Nothing. Unfortunately, we are at the point where we need to be somewhat extreme with our habits to get out of this situation. Small won't cut it anymore If you know what I mean Just kidding, but not really haha. All jokes aside, it is just very sad to see so many close-minded people in one of the most "open-minded" communities in the world (I like to believe). Also, no need to use religious references with negative connotation to make your point, just let me know where you disagree and we can converse! Dilated, falling free. They may not have our level of intelligence, and Id be lying if I said I value animal life at the same level as that of a human But they still have feelings, emotions to a degree and I dont like the idea of killing them just so we could have a delicious lunch or dinner But im a hypocrit cuz I love meat. PETA is to be used for nothing but the butt of a joke. I'm not sure of what to say to your first part, no movement started by suddenly the entire culture switching at the same time, it started small which led to larger groups of people. John Stuart Mill has said "He who does anything because it is the custom makes no choice." You can look at how animals are treated, how the environment is changing and make your own choice on what to do with your consumerism. Choosing to ignore any issues because so many around you ignore them is not a real choice, living by example does have an affect and you are missing your opportunity by just following the crowd. Lab meat is quite a while away to be affordable to the public, you can decide if you want to eat that or not, but I don't see how that has anything to do with veganism right now. Lab meat that is cruelty free and cuts down on environmental damages is not available right now, so why not go vegan until it is ready? On Peta, I don't agree with a lot of their practices or forms of activism, but the link I used is a great list that has many surprisingly vegan foods, it does not make you a Peta supporter or member to view that link and use it.
