If a black teacher loses it and targets the race of their kids in their meltdown, they should be fired. An adult who has a college degree in education, probably years of experience, training in classroom management and has been given options for out of control situations. Even if you lose it, the place she went to is not acceptable from any teacher.

I just call them as I see them. It's very apparent that you spend a lot of your time ridiculing other's on their statements regarding anything related to race. And it's clear which position you take..

It doesn't matter what happened before. She was the adult, she had the training, she knew hate speech that wasn't acceptable and she had other options.

That's actually not true. 

Most teachers are new there because they can only take it for so long.. so I would like to know personally how long this particular teacher had been employed.

I am not trying to justify her use of the word, but should she really be fired on the spot for it? She may have been a teacher for 5 months or 15 years we dont know that yet. But say she had been a wonderful teacher for 15 years and she was literally having the worst day of her life (we dont know what she has going on- her father could be dying of cancer as we discuss this). 

I just don't like this whole "1 strike you are out" deal. Maybe send her home without pay for a week or so? But it's not like she physically assaulted anyone?

Just because you personally have no idea about her life doesn't mean the school and authority didn't look into the matter. This maybe new to you but people actually can look past the color of  one's skin.

It is true. Even if the teacher is new, she still had student teaching for a semester and hours of experience in observation and cooperative teaching before that. She also has classes in management and discipline. She also had a week of inservice before school started and a handbook where specific guidelines were given for handling out of control situations. People aren't pulled from working at Walmart and thrown into a classroom. They have training and classroom guidelines.
