Why is Hey Girl so underrated?

In my opinion it is the third best song on Joanne. Those synths SLAY the life out of me

Why all this hate for this feminist masterpiece?

i don't get it either, it's one of gaga's best songs, a full retro disco track with a timeless theme and the mixture of two amazing voices.

It's definitely in the top 3 for me too.

I wish Gaga'a voice was a little less corny, but otherwise it is an extremely strong track. The use synths give it retro but futuristic sound simultaneously.

Lord Temptation

Don't know why. It's such a heartfelt and evocative track. I mean I guess it's one of those songs that only resonate with people who actually know what it's like to have a friend (who may or may not be your soulmate) walk you home because you were so drunk and there were no cabs around.

It's also an ode to the early 2000s (Uber wasn't around back then), when Gaga was still seventeen, and the world was still a somewhat innocent place (in the sense of social media not having yet taken over everyone's lives)

So people probably don't like the song because it's one that makes you feel small again.

It sounds beautiful. I imagine a warm summer evening, just my friend and I on the patio. We walk around a lake at sunset and when it reaches night, we sit on the deck and talk for hours about random ****. Doing each other's hair and makeup, dancing for no-one but each other. Pushing each other around in the rain and then going inside to warm up. The special night only two girls can have.

Help me hold my hair back
Walk me home ‘cause I can’t find a cab
And we dance down the bowery
Held hands like we were 17 again

And then it’s 4 a.m.
The sun is creeping up again
Don’t you leave me
Oh, darling don’t you leave me

If you don't love this you're probably a heartless bitch and will die alone .

The expectations from Gaga and Florence where very high, it was a let down for me too but 'help me, hold my head back..' That part saved the song for me

I really know I shouldn't, but I get so irrationally offended when I see the hate this song gets
