Not surprised. I agree with that the GP here has no taste, but I think that the toned-down image of Joanne could do really well here.

Maybe something like John Wayne or Dancin' in Circles would do well but meh I'm not too bothered MR is actually doing quite well in Germany... it on #58 on iTunes and still rising atm even without promo. And it's staying in the Top100 for 4 weeks now. Peak at 15 or something like that. I honestly expected it to do worse (compared to PI) And Germany is really a country with terrible music taste! Jed 7,716
YEah sorry sweetie I'm gonna go wth them knowing more on this than you do. They've probably done market research and they know it wouldn't do super well either way so might as well devote time to where it will do the best

Doesn't them canceling reinforce my point even more? You can even look up her canceling and they said that the rumor was to cover for Perfect illusion flopping. oh and that's the other point Joanne wasn't even out when the Graham Norton performance was scheduled so it would've been solely a PI permotipnal opportunity - and this era has always been about selling the album cus the singles don't have that kind of top five-/number one potential

Little Mix was already scheduled to do the X Factor everyone said she was going to be on. And Little Mix had scheduled it over a month in advance, because they made promo videos when they shot their music video. And in the UK if LM and Gaga performed on the same night, LM would've gotten way more attention. Shoutout to my Ex was huge thanks to the performance, everyone was talking about the Perrie/Zayn drama and the song was #1 for 3 weeks.

Cancelling a performance hours before is not something that someone who knows what they're doing would do. Why book the slot? Why leave it to the last minute to cancel? Hmm... no, they don't know what they're doing (then anyway).
GagaTheExplorer 3,053
Well if I have learned something about this site is that if you don't like what she is doing, you should stfu and leave, or people will come for you to tell you how insignificant your opinión is and how fake fan you are, and how better fans they are
Rockets 1,807
What bothers me is that in a many european countries (Italy, Spain, Croatia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Greece, Portugal, Finland, Netherlands... etc) she debuted/peaked in the top 5. We're not talking about huge markets, even a little promotion would have helped the album reach number one in some of these countries, It's frustrating! SilkSpectre0 547
There is literally no promo that her album is even out here in the uk. She did some radio interviews too far before the album was out. No performances. No to interviews. And I don't get all the people here saying the album is too 'American' for Europe. That's ridiculous as if we don't consume American culture all the time and the album might have some American musical influences but we've been listening to those for decades too, Europe will 'get' the music just fine if she promoted it. They just give the albums a boost for a week or two and the tours are often at least six months after the album release. If you want the album to do good the first months after the release you need to do more than go on a tour 6-12 months later. Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?
