Hopefully once she stops having a pity party, she'll be back in full force.

The only thing we've gotten out of it is the super bowl.

Honestly the election has ruined this era so far. She should be promoting this up the butt hole going on tv shows, radio, performances.... I mean while i totally respect her and her political activism I would like to see her return to and focus on the music.

I mean honestly so fat in terms of promo THIS era is terrible compared to ARTPOP. At least she was all over the place doing things. I mean at least this album has had some acclaim from the critics and GP a like so thats a good thing.

Depends on what that 'hope' is. Some people in here seem to want a really aggressive promo campaign, forgetting that she borderline quit her job three years ago because of how crushing the promo rollout was.

My hope was that she released a great album and had a competent campaign that helped sell the music without overexposing her. So far so good it seems. She has big promo opportunities coming up, so just because she's taking a break to speak out against a baboon being elected president doesn't mean the train has stopped.

Of course. She stopped doing things for about a week because of the elections and now y'all believe it's a mess

Just a reminder:

-Consistent aesthetic

-No broken promises

-Quality music

-Pretty good sales

-We still have the AMAs, Victoria's Secret, the ****ing Superbowl and I'm sure there are still some other incoming performances

The era is literally going perfectly fine. Everyone was happy before the election which was LESS THAN A WEEK AGO. She's being a f***ing human right now. She'll get back to the album. Some of y'all are so pessimistic; it's irritating.

Not unless she brings out an EP.

I hate to admit it, but as much as I love Joanne, I'm bored of it already!

It was so different with ARTPOP. I played that album every chance I got for a good year.

I don't find anything she has done (yet) very exciting.

I used to look forward to the performances, the outfits and the interviews. But this time, everything is being repeated, she's wearing a different version of the same outfit everyday and the performances are almost nonexistent!

It just doesn't feel like Gaga to me. :(

It's a difficult one to answer, I personally think Gaga should have waited to release Joanne, It's obvious she wasn't ready, The whole Ayo / Million Reasons swap was a joke, Gaga era's nowadays never seem to have any consistency. People are saying, "Omg stop over reacting", I don't think any of us are, we've waited 3 years of this, we want performances, killer visuals and music videos and some form of acclaim and success. Yes, she does have The Superbowl but that doesn't make an era and at this rate no one is going to know any of her new songs, cause she's isn't getting them out there. I think she should focus on another album. For me Joanne got old, fast, I never listen to it and from the looks of the comments a lot of other fan's don't either. Honestly this era makes ARTPOP look like The Fame Monster. Gaga's pity party needs to stop, the last promo she had was in Japan, only we know that cause we are fans, but the US and Europe GP and probably thinking she's gone into black out, maybe not though after the Trump protest. Being a Gaga fan is hard. I can't see this era taking off.

Comparing Joanne to ARTPOP's flop is ridiculous. She changed the single to DWUW, teased the MV, performed at the AMA's and SNL, and then was pretty much done.

With Joanne, it seems as if she's planning on riding this wave for a while. A less traditional approach according to her. And she has HUGE promo opportunities lined up for the rest of the year and next. It just kills me because everyone who is so negative are the same ones who begged her to change the single to MR and have also lambasted her for being politically involved. Like what do you guys even want anymore?

The Little Managers strike yet again. :madge:

era is already done. is it fair to say the election season sucked the life out of music this year? i dont follow charts much but i feel as though everyone paid so much attention to the election chat they didnt have time to focus on pop music as much :emma: is it a reach to think this?

Grow up you buncha dramatic twinks.

She doesn't need instant success, she needs longevity which she will get by spacing out her promo.
