No, she's still here and has like 40+ more years of performing

Yeah she'll most likely never be out of work, she's too talented to fade away.

She'll never be the star she was from 2009-2011. That's not even debatable. At this point, it doesn't seem like she wants to be either (her fans clearly do though).

Is she over as a musician? No. She will always have a dedicated fan base and sell records and shows.

Sadly, this is the music industry. You never quite stay on top as time goes on. New music trends come and go, as do new up-and-coming artists.

I think as a female pop musician it gets progressively harder, especially when you enter your thirties. This is why so many reinvented themselves, Gaga included. Beyoncé started doing things deemed revolutionary like dropping a surprise album and making visual music. Madonna really changed things up when she turned 40 and released Ray of Light, which certainly bought her some time to remain relevant.

It's just the industry. Gaga seems to be navigating it.

She's over commercially. She hasn't been popular for over 5 years and it's only gonna be harder to have a comeback album as the years go on. However, those saying she'll have a comeback album need to realize that's what everyone thought ARTPOP and joanne were gonna be.  I guess she'll always have a fanbase but unless she gets back with redone, creates an album full of bops, with visuals, promo, killer performances, and a fierce attitude (which will probably never happen) she will continue to fade away

Joanne is on the way to making her an established artist. Being the first female to have 4 #1 album debuts this decade will never be taken away from her. She has faded, sure. But she can still pull in massive debuts. I mean she still makes headlines, so.

Also take "the second biggest debut" with a grain of salt. If katy, taylor, adele, maybe even lorde released this year, they would have crushed her.

Yes but people won't remember things like that. They'll remeber  hit songs, performances, costumes etc. All things that are lacking this era.

I'll venture a guess that it is merely just the calm before the storm.. :)

Gaga knows she can give everyone that music, visuals and era that everybody loves, but she's sticking to her guns where her artistic expressions are concerned. I expect her approach to pop to be as subdued or at least resistant to the norm for sometime before her success rekindles in the future.

Take Mariah Carey for example. Her career was considered over by so many critics for years in the new millennium, but when she released that classique smash that is We Belong Together, it was widely hailed, acclaimed and did incredibly well in the commercial market. It even nestled at #1 on the Hot 100 for 14 weeks straight. Did she expect it? No she didn't.

It's the same for Gaga, Robin Thicke, Pharell, Daft Punk or any other successful music act. There's always going to be the highs and lows in a pop star's career, so I guess we have to be patient for now? And just try to enjoy what she has to offer.
