You have to look at the reasons people sneak in illegally to a country.

Also people try to get residency and are denied very often. The laws need to be reconsidered in certain cases.

This, and also noone is considering how fudging hard is to enter the US legally, impossible in most cases.

All these people that want to go to the US to find a job to send money to their families, they just CANT do it legally, even if they want to.

You need to present facts when getting the VISA, you need to prove you already have a place to arrive and a job waiting for you.

If you come in saying you cant speak english, and that youre pretty much trying your luck to find a job and see what happens, they dont let you in.

Deporting will just be a waste of money and resources that wont fix anything

Not if they were running from extreme violence and threats on their lives in their country and not if the opportunity for a good education and a decent job wasn't available. You have to make money to pay taxes. 

It isn't a poor choice to try to survive, to want a decent life for your children.

These aren't hypothetical situations. Immigrants from parts of Central America are escaping violence and threats on their lives. These immigrants would not have had the same opportunities for education or even to a job, so that they could pay taxes. These are facts. Facts matter.
