Get some common sense. The laws are in place for a reason.

People are using common sense. The laws have changed from year to year over the past two decades. The Dreamers act has been on the cusp of being passed for a while now, which would give HOMODRAKE, and others like him a direct oath to citizenship. 

This issue simply isn't as black and white as you are trying to make it be. Republicans and Democrats have considered and pushed forth legislation for different forms of amnesty for decades.

Good for him! If you want to move to the USA, do it the LEGAL way. Its time we stop catering to people who break our laws in this country. Already liking what I'm hearing from him. Enough of this mess.

I did state from the start of this discussion (may have been in an earlier thread though lol) that the main concern for me are the people that are migrating. I was under the impression the US used the same system as the UK, mainly because it makes the most sense. I guess the US is even weirder than I already thought

Lol, this is true. And really, the majority of people in the US feel the same. As a nation of immigrants, (many whose parents of grandparents were the first generation in the US), the majority of people simply don't have the heart to deport people who are trying to be good members of society and who just want to protect their children. Even many Republicans have a hard time advocating for this when it comes down to it.

Truth is there are so many undocumented immigrants that it will be impossible to deport them all. 

It makes sense to assimilate them into the country because there's no other realistic option. 

Deporting the dangerous criminals and legalizing and giving more rights to other illegal ones seems to be the only way.

Personally, if I was to bizarrely become the president of the states ( long shot  ) I would try and start chasing up all illegal immigrants. Grant those that are second, third generation etc citizenship automatically since they were born in the country. Those that are first generation need to be reviewed, any illegal activity that isn't petty like possession of drugs for personal use or minor disturbance charges gets them deported, the rest are given citizenship. Any immediate family of original illegal immigrants that are separated can be reunited either in the US or their place of origin.

For future immigrants, they must enter LEGALLY or be fleeing trouble that threatens their safety, they can claim asylum.

^ Once a system like that is in place, I will support Trump's "wall" to stop people entering illegally.

Well, those born here are citizens. 

If your parenrs are both illegal and you are born here you are still a citizen. 

The issue is those that were brought ilegally when they were babies.

Not a Trump supporter but illegal immigrants do need deportation or if they're long term (10+ years in US) need aid in gaining citizenship (that would be cheaper than deporting), you can't enter a country illegally and then be up in arms when you're escorted out, you just can't.

Hmmm I'd be torn on that situation. Maybe grant anyone who were under the age of 14 when they illegally entered full citizenship if they have been living in the country for 10+ years.

It may not be perfect but there needs to be some form of cut off.

Things such as the DREAM Act have tried to address issues pertaining to this but sadly might be reversed by Trump.

I've been saying all along, and getting reported for it, that enforcing our immigration policy is not racist... 

 

(He's not even enforcing it against illegal immigrants as a whole... He's doing it against those with BAD criminal records. What is so hard to understand about this!???)
