The bad thing it's that prisons are at full capacity here in MExico, if they deport illegal mexicans that have commited a crime... where are we gonna put them here?

I read that there's only ~73K illegals currently in prison for serious crimes. I'm sure it won't be that difficult to deport those. But what about the other 1.9 Million? Is that even possible? I know people like to point out that the Obama admin "deported the most in history" but those stats are misleading because it includes the ones who were apprehended at the border and turned away.

We should just all leave the country and give it back to the Natives. 

But like others have stated, this isn't an easy job and Trump is making it seem like it can be done in one day. That's why he was elected. If he's deporting criminals who pose a real threat, than great. But his administration is going to be messy about this and throw out vague numbers and policies, then there's a shitstorm waiting for them on the other side.

Additionally, if we're on the subject of cracking down on criminal activity (illegal or legal), why don't we go after those who are here legally and commit hate crimes/etc? I can see how undocumented immigrant crimes are bad, but why are we stopping there? There's plenty of crimes happening around the country today that either go unanswered or simply given a warning. I think there need to be more accountability is multiple areas, not just with undocumented immigrants.

I agree to an extent to deportation. You cant be lax and just accept anyone, theres a process people are suppostu go thru and many people cheated and took shortcuts

I am so shocked when people are against stopping illegal immigration. Unless someone is a recognised citizen, they don't have the benefits and security of being one. I'm all for asylum seekers and people who migrate legally but illegal immigrants pose a real danger to themselves, they can be stung by anyone at anytime and have nothing to fall back on.

Most people in the US aren't for open borders, but they also know immigrants who have been here for decades. Immigrants were allowed to stay here for decades and many of them are in college, have college degrees, have had steady jobs for years, pay taxes, own homes and are productive and law abiding members of their communities. It's going to seem awfully inhuman to deport Grandma or Grandpa, who came over to live their last days in a safe place and with their family...or to deport a young adult who was brought here as a baby or toddler and has never known anything but the US as their home.
