Obviously I don't. Don't get on your high horse, you're not some type of famous singer .

Lol right. That was maybe the most pompous and embarrassing thing I have ever seen someone post. Kind of sad that someone think being known on a random social entertainment forum gives them the right to assume all righteous power and the right to talk down to you.  Laughable how void people's lives must be

Part 1: Being undocumented isn't something that needs to be hidden like some sort of crime. It's a legal status. Many are in that status due to circumstances out of their choice, such as this user.

2. There are people who threaten to "call ICE" on illegal immigrants to silence them when in a job setting (obv illegal) and this constant threat of deportation seriously messes up day to day life for some people.

Obviously you being Canadian ,you would not know that. Maybe you shouldn't comment on issues you have no face to face contact with.

I don't know about #1, and all the permanent residency regulations of the United States, but I do know about #2, which is why I said "I'm not sure I would be posting that online." I suppose on GagaDaily there's little risk, but I'm one of those people that does not even post my photos online, so it still surprised me to see someone openly acknowledge such a status. Regardless, I still don't see why people would report my post

Sometimes I wonder why those who have little to no first hand experiences with topics like these are the ones who have the most to say. I don't see why they should tell others how to make a living and face certain problems while they sit in mommy and daddy's home? :oprah:

Excellent news!

Hi @Goosey!

While you are rejoicing about this news --

Did you know that President Obama has deported more people - up 23% from GWB years - than any other president in recent history?

To quote The Economist in February 2014:

"America is expelling illegal immigrants at NINE TIMES the rate of 20 years ago; nearly 2m so far under Barack Obama, easily outpacing any previous president."

In fact, between 2009-2015, the Obama Administration has deported more than 2.5 million people, 91% of them previously convicted of a crime.

By the time he leaves office, Obama may have deported more people than Trump is currently claiming he will.

Have you received an apology email from the folks you serve via #BigLeagueTruth team in regards to Trump breaking his promise to deport ELEVEN million undocumented immigrants? I mean, what a letdown for any anti-sanctuary city xenophobe. Must have devastated you, no?

There's nothing harder for people to do than admit they were fooled.

I don't see the problem here. If you commit a crime in a country that you're in illegally, then the country has every right to get rid of you.

If you're undocumented, but you contribute positively to the country, pay taxes etc as someone here said they're doing, then the govt shouldn't have a reason to deport you. But if you actively break the law and put others in danger, then you deserve to get kicked out.

Well, I hope your post wasn't meant to be malicious, but similar speech is used for discrimination.

The whole "shut up or I'll have you deported" is a real thing.

Some immigrants don't know the rights they have so they are submissive to this type of rhetoric.

I have never said anything like the bolded, nor would I :nails: anyways: point taken.

Good luck with that.

The US government NEEDS illegal immigrants and they know where they are at because they harvest our food.

6 out of 10 migrant farm workers are illegal immigrants and a majority of them live in California --- we have the food and also the 6th largest economy in the world.  Migrant workers farm and harvest our food and yes, they contribute greatly to keeping most americans have milk, almonds,  tomatoes, beef, grapes, and eggs by keeping prices down.

Food prices will go up if you get rid of them and guess what, you will get an economic upheaval and a lot of unhappy people.

You just dont mess with food. Food makes people go crazy and variety of wars and colonization started with getting food and spices since forever. Expect food prices to go up greatly if you get rid of all those illegal immigrants.

Oh they won't be deported, as long as he sees the country making profit from immigrants working for less than the minimum wage he won't address it. I'm sure he is aware of the fact that good ol' American citizens won't be running to take those jobs.

Good luck?

Read the article, he seems to be talking about those who have committed serious crimes:

“What we are going to do is get the people that are criminal and have criminal records, gang members, drug dealers, we have a lot of these people—probably two million, it could be even three million—we are getting them out of our country or we are going to incarcerate,” Trump said.

It looks like he's backtracking on what was said during his campaign rallies.

I don't know it seems very complicated and tricky.

I just think this is going to be a messy situation where the president fails to do what he promises. It just seems a little unrealistic.

Do I agree with this? Kind of, but I know things are not going to be handled properly.

I agree.

While I am not for Trump, this was something I always agreed with him on during the debates.

Good.

I am so shocked when people are against stopping illegal immigration. Unless someone is a recognised citizen, they don't have the benefits and security of being one. I'm all for asylum seekers and people who migrate legally but illegal immigrants pose a real danger to themselves, they can be stung by anyone at anytime and have nothing to fall back on.
