His supporters, or at least the vast majority of them, voted for him because of those policies. If he doesn't do them, now he's going to have all of America hating him. I'm not saying that he should do them, they're terrible and disgusting and Pence isn't going to help move anything further either, but what I'm saying is that this is a lose-lose situation.
