He seems really upset :hmm:

A lot are really affected by this :S

Yep, a lot of people are emotional right now... including, it would seem, T. J. Klune.

The guy in question would have voted for whichever Republican candidate was running. That guy would have his flag out and would have made that comment whether Hillary won, or Jeb Bush, or whoever.

Trump didn't cause this.

Trump is a HUGE PART  of this.

How is he worse than Ted Cruz? Or Mike Huckabee? Or Bobby Jindal? Or any of the numerous Republicans?

In fact, his track record is better in terms of gay rights than pretty much all of them.

This author is just caught up in the moment. Let's look at this statement:

"[...] if you voted for Trump, this is on you.

These are your people."

It's no different than saying "if you voted for Hillary, this is on you" when people violently attack Trump supporters.

Just because someone is worse than Trump it doesn't mean his behavior hasn't any effect on how people act.

And no, you can't compare Trump and Hillary because Hillary never supported violence against the people who disagreed with her, unlike Trump who even applauded acts of violence on his rallies.

Yep. We are having big problems with hate speech in our schools in my city. Teachers have been reporting a big increase in the past year and since Tuesday it has increased greatly. I know this because a member of my family is close with the Superintendent. Only one report has made it to the news so far, but they are having emergency meetings like crazy and bringing in extra counselors at every level and security at the high school level. This type of increase is being reported all across the state, even on college campuses.

Nope, it's not. Someone's voting Trump had little to no influence on the behavior of this individual.

Yes it is. You have him power and with power comes influence.

Trump has given more reasons to all the racist and homophobes to act like a bunch of savages. His win has proved to the world that you can be an asshole and still win for president.

Of course Trump supporters aren't all directly responsible for hate crimes but they are directly responsible of encouraging people to be intolerant.

You're absolutely right, behavior is only a choice and can have no outside influences, conscious or subconscious... :neyde:

I see what you are doing.  You are taking pleasure in making the blood boil of the members here.  It's is very obvious with all the news stories about this hate speech in schools and other places.  Also the graffiti on walls of schools and on cars using the "n" word and "black lives don't matter and neither does your vote."  I don't understand having no compassion (and on a Gaga site ffs) for what is going on, and how you can't see that it is an atmosphere under the surface that Trump has unleashed.  It's way out in the open now.  There is no reaching you.

I see the general atmosphere that has emerged. I don't see how all those who voted for Trump are responsible for this particular incident. :nails:
