I am not necessarily a Hillary supporter, but I understand where a lot of people are coming from. I don't know a lot about US political history but in this day and age for a President to have been PROVEN to say and do sexist, racist, xenophobic, perverse things while at WORK is pretty repulsive. People tend to bring up the fact that apparently many of us speak that way to buddies, but my argument is why the f*ck are you doing that AT WORK. I joke around with my friends that I am very close with, in private places that won't interfere with anyone, but that is not what Trump does. He said those sexually perverse things to Billy Bush while wearing a microphone and between interviews, I mean what kind of moron and pig does that? Then the walking in on the pageant girls who are underage and naked, and he admitted that to Howard Stern, it's just so sick! That is a place of power for him, that he abuses!

Mental Health and Obesity are serious issues in both the states and Canada, and there is also proof of him ridiculing veterans who suffer from PTSD, and A LOT of proof of him ridiculing people who are overweight (which by the way he is actually almost obese), even though professionals would say that bullying does not help someone with their weight issues. 

Sorry I went on a crazy tangent, I love reading your threads on here, but I truly believe the people against Trump have serious reasons to be. What other President has said and done the things he has? These aren't meaningless, as a politician it matters what you do and say, because people look up to you. So when a leader thinks it's OK to talk about Muslims in a very loose and inarticulate way in front of millions of people, all Muslims will now be in danger by the fanatics who listen to him. He has no understanding of responsibility of what he says and does, and he has no tact. It's just disgraceful and embarrassing to have someone so self-involved lead Americans, they deserve better.

His complaining of accepting the results is in no way the same as the people protesting for Hillary, I don't support her, but at least she can see outside herself.

I personally hate all his ideas in terms of immigrants and his lack of support for LGBT etc. The wall  in the Mexico border is a particular silly idea given the terrible cost to benefit ratio  

 

Some of his economic ideas I think are good though he goes too far in some.

 

Im also worried about potentially scrapped free trade deals

 

I like maybe 25% of his ideas over-all

 

economically specifically I like maybe 50% of his ideas tho maybe to a lesser extent

I'm central left. I supported Bernie, than Hillary and I don't really have an opinion of Trump yet. His conduct during the race was disgusting but it's tactic that got Americans to back him so I can rationalise his actions, even though I disagree with them.

Like I said in another thread, I'm team "wait and see." We've got some of Trump's plans already and whilst some are vague, the others are good or acceptable. I think there's only one that I am really against (energy) but I see the reasoning behind it.

I don't like pretty much any if his policies, not because I'm biased and want him too fail but because I really think they're terrible and will hurt millions of my fellow Americans.

I'm not "falling for it," I'm simply hesitant to assume anything other than what's printed. People are projecting a lot of negative connotations to what are pretty decent plans on paper. How he executes these plans is obviously the main issue but until he does, we wait.

Yeah, it is. Stopping illegal immigration is a good thing. People who are under the radar are not only damaging the economy but they put themselves in danger by doing so.

The people who support him might not be racist or anything; HOWEVER, those people are basically saying "I'm not racist, but quite frankly, I don't really give a **** about anyone else", which is not the kind of ideologies America needs in the White House.

I think lower taxes can help economic growth. I do however think his tax cut proposals are too steep. Either too many critical services would need major cuts or the budget deficit would baloon. I lik tax cuts but to a lower degree than hes proposing

 

The infrastructure spending is also a great idea assuming they build the right infrastructure

I understand the idea behind the tax cut thing but I my opinion of economics is more liberal, it's a difference of view point. I do respect yours tho.

Infrastructure spening would be great as long other vital things aren't cut to pay for it.

I think the big issue came down to the economy

 

The middle class has struggled and most people value putting food on their table more than his opinions on minorities

 

Regardless of whether his economic agenda is any good or not, He focused more heavily on the economy than Hilary and it got peoples attention

 

TBH i cant blame ppl for voting based on economy especially if they struggle. If they think someone like Trump can help them, some may have been swayed by that to vote for him even if they dont like his attittude

I totally agree with military budget cut, Trump will increase which makes me wonder, if everyone is getting a huge tax cut, how the **** will he pay for all this?
