LuMetal 68 Posted November 11, 2016 Share Posted November 11, 2016 if you read he federalist papers madison penned it really seems he was referring to when the majority formed a faction and imposed a tyranny of the majority(dominating the minority democratically) which is what the electoral college defends. it prevents the majority from imposing on the minority which it was demonstrated perfectly in this last election. the majority wanted hillary but the populous states werent allowed to walk all over the smaller states and they got their say in the election and they won.
