AlexanderMagno 10,746
Let me start by saying this is not my opinion. I'm just trying to understand what's happening around me. I'm from Europe. The whole morning I've been listening to people talking about Trump's election. Every single person is talking about it, which is somewhat both exciting and scary. But every single person, and there are no exclusions, say the same thing: "Americans really are stupid". Is this happening everywhere? There is no other speech, no matter who I talk to. And are they? Are Americans really stupid, or are we missing something here? What do Americans think? Because it might be easy to judge from the outside. Are there reasons behind Trump's election besides his foul-mouth attitude? Does it mean America is completely discredited? Are Americans really that stupid and have absolutely no perception of real politics, social and economical issues, health and education needs? Is America only about celebrity status, reality tv culture and hate propaganda?

Dominic 11,922
I saw this today and it's pretty apt "BRITAIN: Brexit is the stupidest, most self-destructive act a country could undertake. Justo 1,192
Not all Americans but certainly the majority of them. I don't understand why they elected Trump President. I was actually planning on moving to the USA but now I definitely won't. I won't feel safe there as a gay man (and I'm also not fond of the fact that they are allowed to have guns in there) and I doubt I would be welcomed with open arms as an immigrant. Akbar Yunadi 143
I used to think that America is a developed country with people who are free, intelligent, kind, open minded, and full of acceptance like Gaga, Obama, Michelle, and so on who always speak for freedom and equality for all no matter who you are. I'm shocked today with the situation and I think I kinda need to change my perspective of you all American from the bottom up from now on. But I guess the title of the thread is too offensive tho. Not all American are stupid. You can neither judge the fruit by the appearance of the tree nor book from its cover akbaryunadi
