People are shocked and surprised and sad buuut it's a wave sweeping the world and everyone needs to buckle up and change so that people aren't bitter about being left behind by an elite anymore. To my friends who adamantly supported Clinton: I am amazed at the level of hatred and aggression so many of you are exhibiting today. According to many of you, I am a racist, sexist, uneducated, gay hating, deplorable who has caused you to lose faith in America. I can assure you that you are grossly mistaken and the insults and mud slinging will do absolutely nothing to unify this country. What I can tell you is that I, like many who voted for Trump, am overworked, overtaxed, and quite frankly fed up. This election was not about Republicans vs Democrats. It was about The People vs The Government. It was about taking a stand against the corruption and greed we have all witnessed. It was about the safety of our country. And it was about fixing things that are clearly broken. The People have spoken and their voice is loud and clear. Stop acting like the sky is falling. Give Trump a chance to prove that he truly wants to make this country a better place. Instead of complaining about the man the PEOPLE have chosen to lead, ask yourself why Clinton couldn't win. Eventually, we reap what we sow. Ask yourself why Clinton abandoned her supporters last night. People were there for hours and at 2am, a mouthpiece comes out to tell everyone to "go home and get some rest". He said they will keep fighting because many states were too close to call. Then 30 minutes later, Clinton calls to concede. She never addressed HER people. She abandoned them, and you, just like she abandoned the men in Benghazi. What message does that send to the people who supported her? Will Trump be the answer to every problem facing this country? I doubt it. But the fact that he won in states that Republicans never carry and was able to get those electoral votes speaks volumes about the hope people have in him and his vision. Step one is coming together, not being divisive and creating fear. Let's all take a deep breath and remember how important it is to love one another. Donald Trump sold you and idea of things that he is backing out of now, like building a wall for MY people, oh yes, I'm mexican. And while you're complaining about your hard life in the US, I came from a middle class family in a third world country, and yet instead of complaining about my government I worked my a.ss off to get a good education, LEARN ENGLISH and get out of the country, I got out of my confort zone, I left my family and my whole life behind. You were LUCKY AF to live in a powerful country, a first world country, to have such a good president like Obama that got you out of a huge financial crisis, did so much for minorities and social health. Now you want to tell people to "Give Trump a chance" after all the things he said to Mexicans, latinos, Muslims, Black ppl, women??? He might be different from what he did and said as a candidate but the damage is done, his followers are already normalizing hate crimes and xenophobia. Hate crimes are currently happening everywhere in the US, and you're here pandering that you voted for him? Disgusting. You're on the wrong side of history, and by the way, Trump will let you down. He is already cancelling plans he promised. I'm glad Gaga is fighting back, she is smart, has travelled the world and empathized with people from different walks of life, she doesn't live in her tiny bubble of privilege, she could very well sit down in her mansion and say nothing... so let her SPEAK. Let's all take a deep breath and remember how important it is to love one another. i understand your frustrations but with respect the political reality of it is that DT doesn't have a coherent vision (i know this, i have been listening to him for 14 months) which is why i am curious as to what you think that is. i hear "change" and "shaking up the system" but the question that begs answering is what kind of change and how will it be executed, without the latter it devolves to demagoguery, which, in my opinion, is exactly what he employs. he has been rolling back on his campaign promises ever since he took office which is clear evidence of this--thoughts? and as to clinton not addressing her audience immediately after losing, not a big deal. it was a humiliating defeat and after the unfairness of the general election, i could understand her wanting to more carefully plan her address to liberals (and perhaps to take some time recover from the staggering and shocking results).
