President, Senate, HOR - Dominated by the Republicans.

That's what is scaring me the most.

I guess it's lucky that this Republican sweep happened in 2016 and not 8 or 12 years ago. Gay rights, etc, are more entrenched now. I think things like bathroom bills, the "religious freedom" bills and such will get passed, but I doubt gay marriage will be overturned.

Michelle Obama becomes the first African American woman to win the Presidency of the United States of America.

Saddly, I don't think we'll ever see the Obamas in office ever again.

Stock market will crash, we will pull out of NATO, our relationship with Europe, Asia, and Latin America will crumble, Affordable Care Act repealed and many will lose health care coverage, potentially multiple SCOTUS judges appointed by Trump.

I am in FEAR. This is NOT my country. I don't want to live in a country like this.

As someone living outside the US, the thought of the US pulling out of NATO and refusing to support NATO forces makes me sick to my stomach.  The idea that we are going to go so far backwards on climate change makes me want to cry. These two issues are so enormously important.

I forgot about climate change...we very well may elect a man that says global warming is a "Chinese hoax to weaken the U.S. economy"...

No, but some of you are seriously overestimating

Clearly you missed my point earlier. America's check and balance system hinges on separate branches keeping each other from getting too much power. Trump is becoming president. His party (which supports him and sides him) is also winning the other branch. They can appoint members of the judiciary to solidify their hold even more.

The US is still the most influential and powerful country economy-wise and military-wise. Trump and his party's actions have ramifications all over the world.

As mentioned already several times by so many members, Dow Jones is already down and Asian markets are, too. This could snowball and potentially create another GLOBAL recession.

You think it's just Trump's actions? No. Even his inactions and the perception of other countries, leaders and investments matter. If you have to ask questions like "what can one man or the president of the united states do?" it really shows how myopic your point of view and knowledge of how the world works is.

how do you know its not going to happen? so he basically spew all this **** about what he's gonna do and you just go "ah no thats never gonna happen" and still vote for him? wow :laughga:

I didn't vote, I'm Canadian :nails:

That's not realistic. He's more likely to start a nuclear war than to kick Jay-Z and Lady Gaga out of America.
