Lol, so if I were to say that Medicare, Economy, Trade, Foreign Policy, Social Security, Lobbying, Education, and Energy were all higher on my list of voting issues than "the treatment of minorities" (what the hell does this even mean? Embarrassingly vague), that automatically makes me a racist? Good to know.

The irony is that the well-being of minorities is actually greatly affected by most of the real issues I listed above.

Holy crap. I'll let you keep thinking that's what the data says. Stay ignorant - I heard it's bliss.

Just remembered this New York Times piece which just shuts this ridiculous conversation down.

"Donald Trump is a deplorable candidate — to put it charitably — and anyone who helps him advance his racial, religious and ethnic bigotry is part of that bigotry. Period. Anyone who elevates a sexist is part of that sexism. The same goes for xenophobia. You can’t conveniently separate yourself from the detestable part of him because you sense in him the promise of cultural or economic advantage. That hair cannot be split.

Furthermore, one doesn’t have to actively hate to contribute to a culture that allows hate to flourish.

It doesn’t matter how lovely your family, how honorable your work or service, how devout your faith — if you place ideological adherence or economic self interest above the moral imperative to condemn and denounce a demagogue, then you are deplorable."

If you're not a part of the solution, you're a part of the problem.

I'm well aware of what the data says, are you sure you are? Here's the graph:

Look at all those damn racists, putting the economy and health care first! Oh, and according to this, half of Hillary supporters are also homophobes, as they ranked the "Treatment of gay, lesbian and transgenders" last. Bigots!

You're taking different data to refute the evidence presented in the article I linked. You're being ridiculous and quite embarrassing right now. You're not voting for Trump? My ass. Nobody in the middle would go these lengths to refute the most basic evidence.

She doesn't need to "chill the f out".

This is one of the most important elections in modern history, she's using her voice for something that matters.

OT: Scalp him queen :golfclap:

I think some people here still don't see that if Trump wins, the U.S.A. will be the world's laughing stock. Like, this could be an actual tragedy for your country, wake up already.

Glad to see her fighting the good fight, proud of my idol.

This is actually the least worrisome thing that will happen.

I'm so happy she has no chill about Tuesday's election, because outreach is critical.

To the people who think she's doing too much or shouldn't have a political voice, shame on you.

That is the Pew Research Centre data cited in the article. I'm not going to great lengths to refute this basic evidence, I'm presenting it as it is whereas you linked an article that spins it to make an erroneous and divisive claim.

This post and the one above are emblematic of the dangerous "You're either with us or against us" attitude that a lot of leftists have. Again, no candidate is entitled to a vote. There is a huge number of people in the centre who vote based on practical policy and not hyperbolic identity politics - shocker! I know some people who are voting for Trump simply due to the fact that their Obamacare premiums have hiked to ridiculous levels. That's their primary issue. I also know many people who are voting third party as both of the main candidates are terrible, which is probably what I'll do too. I can assure you none of these people are the least bit deplorable.

No. The data isn't twisted. Racism is racism. You're the one doing the twisting by bringing up "top issues for voters" to refute a completely different set of data. It's very comical.

Let agree to disagree then. I'll keep thinking those who put themselves above a much greater good are useless and you can help elect the Orangutan Hitler. God help us all.
