Letmelivemylife 8,715
Idk about you guys but BTW is an extremely personal album for me. It's terrifying how much I can relate to many of the songs on there. If there was one song you could pick off of the album that means the most to you, what would you pick? Mine would definitely be "hair". To this day it's one of a very small handful of songs that make me cry. It was like gaga had read my diary when she wrote that song. I was 24 when that song came out and it instantly took me back to jr high. I went to catholic school and we had school issued uniforms. I refused to wear the school issued white socks and would always wear neon colored socks instead. I remember sister Josephine (who taught 8th grade English) would always force me to change them and it felt like my heart was being ripped out every time I changed them. She asked me why I rebelled so hard and made life hard for myself. The thing is, they weren't just socks to me. They were my identity. They were the one thing I could change to make myself stand out. Being denied the ability to wear my neon socks felt like I was being denied the ability to be who I was. I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

Lava 3,423
Black Jesus + Amen Fashion means a lot to me, it says a lot about fashion and performing arts, two of my favorite things. Born This Way of course reminds me of how it's okay to be different and embrace your uniqueness. Hair also gives me an extra 'push' to do what I want and be who I want to be. Marry The Night is really influential too.

Marry The Night is really influential too. If there was a way I could go back in time, I'd tell my 13 year old self "quit spending hours in front of the mirror. Quit worrying about what people say. Fight every god damn day for your right to wear those neon socks because I was born this way" I love you monsters. xoxo cupcakke 4,781
Heavy Metal Lover because it kind of expresses me in search of my HML as I sleaze my way through New York City in search of someone who is willing to settle for me I may have found someone, but I refuse to put a label on it even though we've met each other eight or so times and three to four of those times were actual dates; the rest were Heavy Metal Playdates
