A lot of her sales come from conservative parents buying her music for these 12yr old daughters. It just really makes it noticeable that she is a corporate brand. Everything she does is strategic. She couldn't care less about whats happening in society or to groups people as long as she's making money I still don't have a problem with this. Her career is her life, and endorsing a candidate like this when her fan base is split between the more liberal pop and conservative country, could jeopardize her career for life. It's not like Lady Gaga or Madonna. People knew from the start where they stood. Sure, it may be selfish, but some things are necessary to be selfish about. gagaisitalian 3,573
I think she is aware that a lot of her fans are still country music girls/republicans and doesn't want to alienate them. Just because Taylor Swift is a public figure doesn't mean she has to speak about her political views. Especially when her fan base is already a healthy mixture of dems and republicans. PaperIz 7,346
This election is awful. I'm glad she's not talking about. I HATE that Gaga is endorsing Killary. Human generated art

I totally get you It just sucks because it's a reminder that a lot of people in the entertainment industry, not just Taylor, care more about personal gain and wealth then using their status for good or to educate people
ItsTommyBitch 12,640
I mean, if she calls herself a feminist and actually means it, it'd be nice, but its not required. **** her "brand" tbh, though if the reason is that shes afraid of alienating conservative soccer moms 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから

JackTheTripper 866
I thuought feminisim was belief that women are men should be treated as equals in economy and society.PERIOD i didnt know you had to be involved in Political endorsement, than again posting pics of your asshole on interenet also makes you a feminist apperently? FFS, american tabloids are really dumb as ****, with their PC bullshit and defining what it means to be tolerant. The bigest threat to woman is american pop star, and the bigest threat to african americans is not being nominated for awards. SHUT UP

But you would think that a self proclamed feminist would speak out about the nasty and degrading things Trump has said about women. She probably doesn't want to alienate part of her fanbase that votes for Trump, I get it and I don' blame her for that, but she should learn not to speak about something she doesn't fully endorse. She should have avoided deeming herself a feminist when it's clear she dowsn't know the first thing about it. Obligation: an act or course of action to which a person is morally (or legally) bound; a duty or commitment. Every American is morally bound to participate in our democracy, especially when the stakes are this high and the course of our country till be decided. They should feel an extreme sense of duty and commitment as well or that is simply atrocious. The greatest threat to democracy is apathy.
